I sat in the small room made of concrete walls and curled my knees to my chest.
My face was emotionless but nevertheless, tears streamed down my cheeks.
I took my finger that was covered in blood and wrote on the asphalt wall. Each letter took all the strength I had in me.
H-E-L-P M-E
My body was numb and tired from not eating for about a month.
My ratted hair that used to be blonde had grown white from never touching the sun for... How long ago was the last time? I couldn't even remember.

Someone.
Please, anyone.
Help me.
The freezing air around me suddenly turned warm. My vision grew hazy and I saw a flicker of light.
I heard voices talking, speaking to each other in search of something.
I froze as I made out a sentence.
"Find Her. Find the girl. We must release her from her nightmares."

The voices sounded as if they were inside my own head. As if I had thought them up on my own. But I hadn't.
"Help... Me." I called weakly to the flicker of light that seemed to grow brighter every second.
I looked closer at the light and saw a girl smiling, putting her hand out to me. Large wings grew on her back.
Realization hit me so hard it felt as if time had froze.
I'm dying.
I am finally leaving this place.

I felt my body grow light as a feather and I stood up without effort. I reached forward and grabbed the girl's hand.
"Come, child. Let's take you home."
