I walked around my living room. I felt like my heart was going to pop out of my chest. Shit, I can't go to this party. I really want too, but I can't..., But Cat is going to be there for me. So, I'm going to suck it up go!
I heard a knock at my door. I went answer it, hoping it was Cat. A skinny short girl with glasses stood there.
"Hey, Eden. You ready." She said.
"Y-yes." I say and we walk to her car.
Cat has been my friend for as long as I can remember. She's the only one who I opened up to. Lately, that feeling has weakened because of her new boyfriend, Alex, taking her away from me.
She started the car and we left my drive way. I rolled down the window, letting the cold wind whip at my face.
"You OK?" She asks in a serious tone. I nod, placing my face in my palm.
She sighed and continued to drive. We arrived at her boyfriend's house, where the party was held.
I got out of her car with Cat and went inside and saw that there was only 5 other people there, including her boyfriend. Relief filled my body. At least I won't be crowded.
