*Crack*

My back popped as I stretched. I looked at my alarm clock. It was 7 am. I stood up and went to the bathroom to take my shower and get ready for that primitive thing humans call school.

Oh sorry allow me to explain. I'm not exactly human. I come from a planet called Terra. Oh Terra such beauty and prosperity! Especially compared to Earth. My kind, we look human but instead of just blonde hair on our arms and heads we have tiger stripes. Mine are black and white. We have pointed ears on top of our heads and our people are superior to humans, we have enhanced senses and skills.

Not to mention we have wings, they vary in size depending on our height. I'm 5" 4' so I have a wingspan of twelve feet. The last great thing we have is control. Control over an element. I use a human disguise to blend in with humans but, once my parents come back for me I can get rid of it.

Anyway, back to the story. So, I left the bathroom and went downstairs to get breakfast and make lunch. Terrinians are vegans so, I only eat plants. I got an apple and banana for breakfast and a fruit salad for lunch. No one else was there because my "parents" were at work.

I left the house and got to the bus stop. My best friend Naomi was waiting for me.

"Kat!" Naomi shouted as she saw me (Kat is my human name my Terrinian name is Acacia).

I love her Scottish accent.

"Hey Naomi!" I replied.

"So Kat, tonight I'm throwing a HUGE, and when I say huge I mean freaking ENORMOUS party. It's for Mason's birthday it's a surprise party. So are you in?" She asked me very eagerly (Mason was Naomi's twin brother).

"Uh sure what time?"

"7:30 and were pulling an all-nighter!"

"Ok Naomi I'll be there!"

"Be there or be square!"

We both laughed. The bus pulled up and our mood was immediately dampened.

"Get on kids I haven't got all day." The dreary bus driver murmured.

He always sounded like he was drunk or dying. Naomi and I climbed onto the bus. It smelled like an elephant decided to die inside of it. The seats were old and when you sat on them they creaked. Most of the windows were duct taped shut. The "emergency exits" were now more like "those holes in the bus". Why the school corporation hasn't gotten rid of this dinosaur, I have no clue. The ride, like always, was boring and seemed to last forever until we finally got to school.

I was so happy to finally be out of the bus. Naomi and I got out and headed to our first class which was band. I played the piccolo. Naomi played the bagpipes, we were the only ones. We got to our seats which were coincidentally right next to each other. Naomi looked at me mischievously, she put one of her pipes next to Larry's ear (Larry was first chair tuba). She blasted so loud on the pipe it squeaked. Larry screamed like a little girl. Naomi and I laughed so hard I couldn't see straight.

We played for a while but then, I got bored. I decided to have some fun. I stopped playing my piccolo and reached forward. I smacked the first chair flute, Alyssa, right on top of the head (Alyssa is what we might say is prissy and stupid). She tried to grab my piccolo but, missed and smacked her hand on her chair. She started to cry. I tried not to laugh out loud but, Naomi doesn't have that type of filter. She almost died of laughter.

After that little episode Naomi started to think and not necessarily good thoughts.

"Hey Kat" Naomi whispered,"Want to bother Mr.Bennett."
