Chapter One ~ Auditions.

The slightly satly and metalic taste of Chloe's blood seeped into her mouth due to her endless gnawing of her bottom lip in an attempt to forget about her nerves which seemed to be tripling every millisecond that passed. Tugging her oversized Deathly Hallows symbol sweatshirt over her hands to somehow stop her constant fiddling with her fingers, something she often did when nerves took over, her maya blue eyes wondered across the sea of people waiting to audition for the tenth series of The X Factor.

"Nevous?" Chloe's twenty two year old brother Daniel asked, kindly offering her some of his bottled water which was slightly weird due to the fact they had the normnal love-hate brother and sister relationship. Arguments, fights and aimless insults were nothing new to them. Chloe smiled as a thanks and took the bottle out of his hand before unscrewing the lid and taking a couple of small sips out of it before screwing the lid back on.

"We all are." Shannon, Chloe's best friend and band member admitted with a sigh as Chloe handed Dan the bottle back.

"If we just do what we rehersed, we should be fine." Becky, Chloe's other best friend and band member reassured although her facial expression didn't exactly show that she wasn't nervous at all, quite the opposite actually. Her facial expression mirrored an exact replica of the nerves on both Shannon and Chloe's. She was pale with nerves and her eyes darted around the waiting room, examing various individuals in an attempt to figure out whether they stand a chance. Becky pushed her glasses, which she heavily despised, back up to the bridge of her nose before flicking her dark brown hair off her shoulder.

"Yeah but Shann may be distracted by Louis hotness just like she is distracted by that boy sitting behind us." Summer, Chloe's other best friend and band member laughed, nodding towards a group of five (insanely good looking) boys.

"22822, 22821, 22820, 22819!" A voice boomed over the chatter of about three hundred people held in the waiting room.

"That's us!" Shannon exclaimed, shooting up from her seat as her just below shoulder length naturally straight mousy brown hair bounced with her. Summer was the only one of the four to of dyed her hair (Chloe wanted to but her mother wouldn't allow it) well if you don't count Shannon distastorious attempt; luckily it was only temporary as her attempt to dye it red, turned it ginger. Shannon smiled her now braceless smile at us as her maya blue and apple green eyes which took the apperance of a physicadelic swirl sparkled under the fake man made lights that hung above.

Taking one more look around the room filled with hopefulls, praying they will at least get through to bootcamp, Chloe sighed as one thought zooming through her mind; everyone in this room shared one dream: to win. However, they all knew that the odds of that is very thin, near enough microscopic. What makes these four nineteen to twenty one year old girls from London and Birmingham, who have spent the last four years making videos on Youtube and have moved to London to try and make it big in the music industry.

Signing, Chloe stood up slowly and reluctantly, wanting her nerves and Earth to swallow her whole so she wouldn't have to face the four judges sitting the other room, yards away.

Thousands of eyes burnt a hole into the girls backs as they made their way towards the audition room.

Taking a short glance over to Shannon, Chloe realised she was staring at something over her shoulder while making stupid and silly faces. Looking over her shoulder to where Shannon was looking the five boys who were sat behind them was following them to the audition room. They looked to be the same age as the four girls and were obviously auditioning due to the number stickers hanging onto their shirts for dear life. Soon Chloe's suppose to be short glance turned into a prolonged one as she inspected each individual boy carefully.
