In Alexander's POV

Alex watched in amusement as Tanner tapped her foot against the floor angrily. "Where is he?! Did he skip out? He could've at least called ahead if he was going to be late!" She sighed, rubbing her hands over her face unhappily. Laf chuckled loudly, wrapping their arm around her shoulders and rubbing her back reassuringly "Oh hush mon amie, I'm sure he'll be here soon, even if he is a little late." They reassured. While Tanner relaxed slightly, Peggy rushed in, looking nervous and ashamed.

"U-uh, Tanner? I might've made a mistake..." She murmured, hugging herself tightly. "Peggy, what did you do?" Tanner asked, sounding tired and unhappy. "I sent Mr.Laurens the wrong time, he's going to be another hour..." She said in barely a whisper. Tanner visibly relaxed as she realized that it was an easy fix. "Oh Peggy, that's fine... just, don't do it again, alright?" She said with a groan, patting Peggy's back quickly before rushing off to fix the mistake. Alexander and Laf burst into laughter,  holding their stomachs and doubling over. "Oh god, that was priceless." Alex panted out. Laf nodded in agreement. "Il n'est juste? Mon Dieu, le regard sur le visage du pauvre Ms.Tanner valait une répétitions fin!" They said, giggling as they calmed down. Alex nodded, smiling and walking over to grab his lines from the table.

~About an Hour later~

He had been practicing his lines for about an hour before he saw them walk in. Laf had their arm around a tall curly haired guy. He had a nice tan and was covered in soft brown freckles that went well with his light brown eyes. He wore a soft looking yellow sweater, and Alexander could just imagine burying his face in it.. Huh? No wait, he was checking the new guy out! That wasn't proper! He groaned to himself, turning away and trying to concentrate back in on his lines. He had zoned back in on his lines for a while before he heard Tanner saying that they would be starting in five. Only then did he realize that he was missing his over coat.

"Laf! I'm going to grab my coat, tell me if I miss anything!" He called, rushing towards the dressing room. When he got there, he walked in without realizing it was occupied. In the middle of the room, The new guy had just pulled his yellow sweater over his shoulders. His back was covered in freckles just like his face. Alexander felt a blush spread across his face as the man spun around, sweater clutched to his chest. "O-oh gosh! I'm so sorry!" He stuttered out, looking up at the mans face. "S'alright." He said with a quiet giggle. "I, Uh, Just came in to grab my coat.." Alex said, groaning and rubbing his hand across his face.

Why was this guy so good looking? "Its ok, go ahead and grab it, I can wait." The guy said, moving to the side and putting his sweater on a coat hanger. He groaned quietly again out of embarrassment before thanking the guy.  "Thank you, My names Alexander by the way, whats yours?" He asked as he moved to the clothes rack, pushing aside a few shirts in search for his coat. "Names John Laurens, Everyone normally calls me by my last name though." The guy hummed, sounding slightly distracted. "Good ta know you Laurens, who ya playing?" He asked, finally finding his coat and grabbing it before turning around. When he turned, Laurens eyes flicked to the side quickly. "O-oh, I'm playing Madam Belle, how about you?" He asked, a blush creeping over his face as upper chest. Alex did a quick double take. The guy would definitely be able to pass for a girl if he wanted, so he brushed it off.

"I'm actually playing Sardonic, so it looks as if I'm your partner for this play." Alexander said with a chuckle, slipping the bright green jacket he had grabbed over his shoulders. He was actually excited when he heard that this guy would be playing his partner, since he knew there were a few less than platonic scenes between their characters. He began buttoning up his coat as quickly as he could, needing to get out of the room before he blurted something out he would regret. "Well, It was definitely a pleasure meeting you Laurens, But I think I should let you finish getting changed." He said, finishing the last button on his coat and chuckling as he realized the poor guy had been standing here shirtless since he had walked in. "A-ah? Yes of course, I guess I'll see you soon Alexander." Laurens called to him as he turned and walked out. Yes, he had definitely enjoyed meeting this John Laurens.
