Hey guys I know i'm doing alot of stories right now but I really want to do this story! So in my socials class we are learning about the fall of Rome and all that. I personally believe it was because of the way men ruled it.(no offense) So this story is going to be about what if Women ruled Rome and not men, would the brutal ending be the same or would it be different. :P
"Antonia" I hear my mother calling me from downstairs. "You are going to be late for school"
"Coming" I tell her throwing on my tunic then quickly putting on my belt. I bounded down the stairs, grabbing the bag of food on the table before running out the door and down the street. I run a little ways for reaching a very small domus. I push open the door and I quickly take my seat.
"Morning class" Mrs. Deen, my teacher tells me, walking around and giving us a handful of wax. I spread it out thin along my desk and I use my stylus to write my name of the top.
"Okay girls today we are going to be learning about our leader of Rome the beautiful Elzeebeth" I quickly snap my head up, Elzeebeth is amazing! I can't wait to learn more about her.
"Okay girls anyone know when she was born" Mrs. Deen asks us. Someone behind me raises their hand.
"Yes Alban"
"It's umm a it's umm-
"Alban don't stutter"
"Oh I know it was 150 "
"Good, now anybody know when she became leader of Rome and how" I knew this one, so I slowly raise my hand into the air.
"Antonia"
"She became leader in 170 because her father died and he wanted her to be leader" I tell the class.
"Right, now everyone is going to do a project on Elzeebeth" She gives everyone a part to do and I get ti list all the battles she has won, not really the best project but it's better than listing every servant in her house. Ha theres at least 100. I got to work by writing down what I know for sure, i wrote down on the wax:
First battle: 171 lost 100 people won the city of Guel.
Second battle: 171 lost 50 people defending eastern boundries.
Third battle: 172 lost 124 people won city of listry.
Fourth battle: 172 lost 6 people defending eastern boundries again.
I got a couple more battles done but I knew the person to ask to find out the others.
"Mrs. Deen can I go research" I ask.
"Yes hon you may go" she tells me before returning to her work. I walk out the door and I run down the street to the very end of the city.
"Gesto!" I call once I reach the end of the city.
"Gesto!" I call again.
"What" I hear him yell before walking out of his demus.
"Hi Gesto, I need help with my project for school, it's about Elzeebeth's battles, I have 1 to 4 but I forget the rest."
"Yeah, yeah i'll help you, come inside" he tells me walking back in his demus.
I walk inside and he orders I servant to get me an apple from outside.
"Now I have this writen down-
"You do" I exclaim jumping up from my seat, I knew Gesto could write but I didn't know that he could afford paper!
"Yes, yes I have it written down but you can't bring it to you're demus you have to memorize it here" Great just great I'm not the greatest with memorizing.
"Is there a problem Antonia" She asks smiling, he knows I hate memorizing things.
"Oh no not a all Gesto I best get to it" I tell him walking off to his study. I quickly get to work memorizing the battles and I think I have most of them but I'll probably have to come back tomorrow to get the ones I missed.
"Thanks Gesto i'll probably be back tomorrow" I tell him walking out the door and running back to my school to write down the battles I can remember.
Once I reach the school I quickly write down the battles but I'm alone, it took longer then I thought to memorize the battles. I eat the food that I brought with me, barley with a little bit of beef. I finally reach my demus, and I walk inside glad to not have to think untill tomorrow. I retreat but into my corner of the demus and I sleep through the whole night.
A/N: Hey guys I hope you like it comment and vote and fan!! I want to hear if you like this and if I need to change anything, oh and for Elzeebeth you say it as Elizabeth!! Ok bye!
