Unison Academy

Chapter 1

Tammy walked hesistantly toward the large school doors of Unison Academy as she waved bye to her Aunt. The massive doors were wide open and welcoming, etched with giant swirls and with giant gold platted handles. The building stood hundreds of feet tall, four floors full of dorms and classrooms. She glanced around the massive courtyard seeing many students, old and new, hugging families and saying their goodbyes as they pull their heavy bags of luggage towards the building. She spotted this one girl, definitely a mage, carrying--no, levitating her luggages with magic. She wiped away tears as she waved bye to her family. All of the students had relatives drop them off, but what about Tammy? She doesn't really have a family. Her only family that she has is her older sister, Sammy, and her Aunt Claire.
The school had a warm, welcoming feeling that surrounded all students. All, except for Tammy. Her stomach churned, and her hands started to sweat. What was this feeling? Dread, fear, nervousness? She felt her head get dizzy. Sammy seeming to notice, gave her younger sister a soft pat on the back.
"I'm nervous too," Sammy said. "I'm scared to meet my new teachers and take tests as well. Especially training."
Tammy turned to her older sister. "I'm not nervous, just anxious.. That's all!"
Sammy grinned.
"Tam-Tam, being nervous and anxious are pretty much the same thing."
"Well, then this is a different type of anxiety!"
"Sure, sure, whatever you say."
Tammy was about to make a witty retort when suddenly-
"TAMMY-CHAAAAAAN!!!"
Before Tammy could react, she was knocked down on the gravel path, her luggage flying everywhere, one even opening, spilling out contents of armor and clothing. Confused, she sat up to see pounds of blonde hair, a set of noticable B cups, and bandages wrapped around the person's left eye. Her attacker was giggling uncontrollably and had a wide, toothy grin. Tammy gasped.
"Raiburu!! It's so nice to see you again!"
Raiburu gets off of Tammy. "Tammy, you can not believe what just happened over the summer!"
"Well, you can tell me on the way to our dorm rooms."
Raiburu lent Tammy a hand. They picked up her clothes which landed all over the court yard. As she reached down to pick up a chest plate, a soft hand landed on top of her own. Tammy looked up to meet with a pair of soft, golden eyes, which belonged to a gorgeous girl. She had long and wild white hair that had a tint of violet in it. She was wearing a third year uniform, and had two hairclips on both sides of her hair, decorated with jingle bells and an array of blue feathers. Not only that, but she had a noticable pair of D cups. Tammy blushed, she had never seen a girl this pretty before, let alone has she seen her at this school.
Tammy opened her mouth to speak but was beaten by the girl.
The girl stammered. "I-I'm sorry, I saw your clothes fall everywhere and tried to help pick them up."
Tammy's face was as red as a beet.
"N-No! It's fine! Thank you." She replied. 'Her voice sounds almost like music!' She thought.
They both stood up, and the girl gave Tammy back her clothes. As she started to pick up her bags and walk away, Tammy reached out and grabbed her arm. "Wait!"
The girl turned around, her cheeks now the color of a light pink, "Yes?"
Tammy stuttered. "Um, what's your name?"
The girl smiled slightly, "My name is Kaede."
"Kaede... That's a really nice name."
"Yeah, I didn't really like the original name I was given, so I saved up a few gems to legally change it."
"Yeah..." Both girls stood in an awkward silence. Kaede was the first to speak after a couple moments.
"Are you going to tell me your name...?"
Tammy mentally smacked herself, how could she forget her manners!
"Oh, my name?? I-It's Tammy..." she replied. Way to make a good first impression...
"Tammy... Well, see you later then, Tammy!"
Tammy waved goodbye and went back to picking up the rest of her clothes. As she put the rest of the clothes back into her luggage, she was attacked once again by Raiburu in a verbal, teasing way.
"Ooooh~ Who was that?"
Tammy sighed wistfully and smiled.
"Kaede."
