I dug my toes deeper into the sand. I was currently stationed directly in front of the ocean, reading teen vogue, and most importantly, watching my boyfriend Ford, surf. "You sure you don't want to try?" Ford urged, flashing me his signature half smile.

My heart fluttered and dipped at the sight of him, jet black hair tousled with salt water, and his hidden 6-pack much more visible. In my moment of drooling, I had almost agreed, but then quickly snapped back to the reality by the harsh waves slapping against the sand at a rapid pace. "N.No thanks" I stuttered.

Ford's grinned widened, "maybe next time," And I stood up. He wrapped his arms around me, kissing my cheek. I spun around and pressed my lips hard to his, only to burst away from him, running down the beach. Ford leaped forward, " oh no you don't!" and chased me down.

I giggled as I twisted in different directions until I finally gave in and let him tackle me to the ground, and kiss me. The kiss was soft and warm at first, then he pressed against me, and I wrapped my arms around his back. I wanted to stay in this moment forever. We were soon interrupted by the villainous giggles of the worlds most annoying girls.

Sabrina and Kaitlyn both smiled wickedly up at us, their round pudgy cheeks sunburnt a familiar shade of strawberry red. Their blonde curls bounced as they exploded in a fit of laughter. I put a hand on my hip. "What's so funny?" With a giggle, they squealed, "Lookit!" Sabrina extended her cupped hands in front of our faces and threw a frog at me! I leaped back into Ford's chest. "AHHH!" Then Kaitlyn screeched "It was fake!" they ran off to their parents, leaving me embarrassed and jumpy.

Ford was cracking up. My cheeks turned a deep shade of crimson and I covered my face with my hands. "Hey not fair! You're cute when you blush!" Ford smiled. My heart dipped, and My cheeks only burned darker. I broke out into a giggle and through myself into Ford's chest playfully. He wrapped his lanky arms around me, pulling me closer. He was Ford. My Ford. Why had it taken summer after summer for me to finally realize I had feelings for him. "A penny for your thoughts?" He challenged. I sighed. "I just wish I'd known you sooner," "But we've known each other forever!" he stated. "I mean really know you. Like if I'd spent more time with you, then we would have-" My voice suddenly cracked at the realization that we only had a week. One week. Seven days. Then it was goodbye.
