"Kendra!" I turned around in the hallway of the school, and there was Marie chasing after me.
"Kendra! What's up girl?"
"Oh you know, the usual. Going to my writing class. Same 'ol, same 'ol."
"Hey at least it's our second to last class of the day, and it's Friday. Which brings me to what I wanted to ask you. Want to go to the mall tomorrow? I hear Charlotte Russe is having a sale on floppy hats and I need one for summer."
"Marie, I'd love to, but I promised Andrew at work that I would take his open- 3PM shift since he is out of town."
"Party pooper! You're no fun."
"I know. But hey, what about Sunday? I have that day off!"
"Well Charlotte Russe won't have their sale on floppy hats then, but we can go Sunday." Marie stuck her tongue out at me, and I did the same to her.
"Well, I better get to class. Last time I was like a minute late to class, and everyone gave me crap for it because I'm never late."
"Haha okay chica. Have fun."
"You know I'll have the time of my life!"
We both giggled and Marie walked downstairs to her class, and I walked into mine and took a seat. I still had 2 minutes before the bell rang, so I took out my materials for the class, and went on my phone until the bell rang.
You could say I'm a good student, because I'm never late, I'm always prepared, and I'm so quiet so it's not like I bother the class. I'm a A-B student, and I take pride in that.
The bell rang, and we got started on the topic of the day, which lucky me, was learning about similes. Easy peasy. Writing class was easy because I was always pretty good at writing and expressing my creativity though words, like with my doodling.
Since this was all review, I started doodling a dress on the left side of my line paper, between the first and second hole. The dress was knew length, with polka dots. It reminded me of the kind of dress that was popular in the fifties.
I kept doodling basically the entire class. The bell finally rang, and that meant it was time for my fashion class. I gathered my things, grabbed my rose patterned backpack, and race downstairs to be the first one in class-like usual.
I looked at the board to see what we were doing today, and I nearly squealed when I saw our new project was going to be designing our own t-shirts.
I sat down and waiting once again for class to begin. Ideas started flooding inside my head for my t-shirt design. This was going to be fun.
