I sat in the car next to Peggy, my heart practically pounding out of my chest. We were heading to the place where the testing was going to be done. When we walked in, the woman greeted us. "Nice weather we're having, isn't it."

Peggy spoke for me, because my brain wasn't processing what was happening. "Yes, but I always carry my umbrella."

The lady nodded and led us to the back. Peggy gave me a quick hug before taking a seat where she sat when Steve had his experiment done. I walked up to Howard. He gave me a quick hug before telling me to change and handing me a sports bra and shorts.

I quickly went on to the bathroom and changed, the outfit was a bit big for me, but I was going to grow with the serum most likely. The sports bra was light purple and the shorts matched it.

I walked out and back over to Howard. "You ready?" He asked, he looked worried.

     "I am, but... are you?"

He nodded and I stepped into the machinery. It was a little to large for me, but like I said, I would grow. They gave me a shot, which I assumed would make it hurt less, or prepare it, or something.

They hooked me up, putting two panels with sharp needles onto my stomach, and two on each leg. I got one on each arm, and they strapped me down. Then they closed it, and it became real. It was happening. My heart started beating. "You ready sweetheart?" Howard yelled.

     "Yep!" I replied

I closed my eyes as I heard it kick on. The needles were pressed into my arms as I let out high pitched shrieks. The serum was then pushed in, and I could feel it as it shot through my blood stream. I threw my head back as I screamed out in agony. The doors to the machine opened and my chest heaved, breathing heavily. Howard and Peggy were the ones at the door and they helped me out. I felt slightly taller, my legs looked stronger, along with the rest of my body.

     "You look amazing." Peggy stated.

"Do you feel ok?" Howard asked.

"A little out of breath, but otherwise I feel fine."

"Good," The Colonel cut in, "We would like you to test your powers, what and all did you say she would have?"

"Super speed, super strength, and she will control the elements." Howard explained.

"Let me change, then I want to test my abilities." I said, running back to the bathroom and grabbing my clothes on the way.

I put back on my black tank top and denim shorts, then pulled on my black shoes. I walked out and the Colonel, Peggy, and Howard followed closely, while the rest of the crowd lingered behind up.

We made it to a baren land and they all stood around me. I looked around and focused my senses on running fast. I let myself go, and it felt amazing. My hair blew out behind me as I created a trail of wind. I came to a stop next to Peggy and she looked at me in shock. "What can she pick up?" Howard asked.

Cars were parked around us, and I got an idea. "Anyone have a car I can try?" I asked.

"Well I have one, just be careful." Howard said, and I followed him to a blue car.

I slid my fingers under it, getting a firm grip before lifting it up. It felt like I was lifting a feather, but I wasn't, I was lifting a car. I let it down gently and looked at the crowd. "Elements now." I said.

I put my hand up and I don't even know how I did it, but I created a fireball. It was mesmerising as it danced around above my hand. I put it out then used my finger, twirling it around, creating a small whirlpool. I let it go, watching as it slashed to the ground. I wrapped my hand around a half dead blade of long grass. It grew, turning a bright green and curling itself around my arm. When I let go, it shrunk back down, turning back to its dull color. I twirled my finger again, this time blowing into it, and a small tornado started to form.

Everyone stared in amazement. "Wow she's way better then Captain America." Someone commented.

I froze, turning and looking at the person, narrowing my eyes. I ran at them, my super speed kicking in. I put my hand around their neck, it heating up quickly. "Steven Grant Rogers is the most loyal, faithful, trustworthy, amazing best friend ever, you will never meet anyone that puts so much into their work, and doesn't let power go to his head. He risked his life for his country, and if I hear foul words of him fall from yours or anyone's mouths as long as I live, I don't care what happens to me, I will crush your esophigus." I snarled.

He looked horrified but nodded slowly. I let go and he nodded slowly. Howard pulled my shoulder back and I let him. "Easy girl." He calmed.

We arrived back at the base quickly and I was exausted.

She rolled into bed, letting the sleep take her over. The night was quiet except the crickets singing. The doorknob slowly turned and opened. Shayla was quickly lifted out of her bed and they carried her out. Her eyes opened, but before she could react, a needle was pushed into her neck and she was sedated.

The mysterious people traveled a couple hours, coming to the side of the Arctic Ocean. Someone was waiting there and they took a large wooden crate. Shayla was not so gently dropped into the crate and pushed into a helicopter.

The helicopter flew up over the top of the ocean, traveling out far, near where Steve Rogers was plunged into the ocean. The door of the helicopter opened, and they pushed her out, watching as the crate hit the water with a splash, then sunk into the darkness.
