The room was silent, too silent in fact. If one were to concentrate the sound of the old camera in the room could be heard.

A faint cough drew the attention of the man sitting at a metal table in the middle of the room. This man had put a notepad and recorder onto the table. He looked at the woman standing by the door, the one who had coughed. She didn't look at him, she was staring at the opposite wall, her expression was blank and the man didn't really take in her features, she wasn't interesting to him, and besides it wasn't her he was there to see.

A knock on the door brought everyone's attention to it. The woman opened the door swiftly and two people entered the room. A tall bulky man in uniform and a young boy in an orange jumpsuit.

The man at the table sat up straighter as the boy approached and sat opposite him, making sure to scrape the chair as loud as he could, obviously knowing it would irritate his minder.

The boy stared at the person opposite him expectantly, his dark blue eyes scanning the man's face. "Are you going to speak or are we going to stare at each other all day?"

The man smirked "Sorry. I just never thought I'd be face to face with-"

"A psychotic killer?" the boy asked testily

"Your words," the man said "Anyway, my name is-" he was cut off again.

"Steven Reynolds, I know"

"Well if you know that, then you know why I'm here"

"To get the greatest interview of your career. I could smell your excitement as I entered the room"

Steven felt his cheeks burn. So this kid thought he was an amateur, a joke? He glared at the teen who was now giving him a cold smile.

"Don't worry I won't hold it against you," he said "After all how often do you get the chance to interview someone like me?"

The man felt slightly sickened by the child in front of him. The sense of achievement in his voice, the smile now plastered on his face was almost too much. If he had been new to the job,he would have left then; but he had been in this job for nearly twenty years and it would take more than a kid to scare him.

"So what do you want to know?" the boy asked "Why I did it? How long I planned to do it? Do I feel regret?"

"That and more," Steven replied "I want to know everything"

"Everything?" the boy laughed coldly

"Yes Aiden. Take me back to the beginning"

"Fine," Aiden replied "Start the tape up, Steven. This'll be a tale you won't want to forget"
