I sighed. "So Lauren, where exactly is he being kept?"
"In a research facility located in Haven," she said as she put her jacket on.
I scratched my head, a bit confused. "Haven? But isn't that place already under the control of the IMC?"
Lauren nodded as she grabbed two cards off of her desk, and handed one to me. "Here. We're going to the armory first. I have an IMC replica of what you.normally use. And to answer her question, yeah. But at the time they did what they did with MacAllan, it was controlled by the Militia. The IMC didn't bother changing the security tech the place has."
I thought for a moment before responding. Alright, yeah. I see why you need me. And you've asked the right guy to help you," I said before I teasingly kissed her.
She slightly blushed, and pushed me back a bit. "M-Michael...what was that for...?"
I slightly ruffled her hair. "What? Am I not allowed to show you some brotherly love?"
Lauren sighed. "Fine...I guess I can forgive you...anyways, let's go."
I nodded. "Yeah. Let's go. I still have that time I need to kill.About half an hour later, Lauren and I were both suited up, ready to go. Just like she had said, this was exactly what I used with the Militia, just the IMC version of it. As always, I picked up my Carbine with its Holosight and Suppressor, Sidewinder, and B3 Wingman. My tactic was Stim, I had my Satchel Charges, and my kits were Quick Reload and the 'Icepick', something I knew would be useful in this operation.
I looked over a my sister, who surprisingly chose to use a DMR with some type of customized scope, as well as an Extended Magazine, a RE Pistol, and a Heavy Archer Rocket. My HUD told me she was carrying some Frags, and had Cloak, and her kits were Run n' Gun and Guardian Chip. I was very curious with the Guardian Chip, as Lauren told me we weren't using our Titans. "Hey Lauren, why are you using Guardian Chip?"
She sighed. "I have my reasons, Michael. Anyways, let's make our way to the Goblin docks. I have one waiting for us."
I nodded. "Alright. Let's go."When we got to the dock, it was surprisingly empty. I looked around. "Where it's everyone?"
Listen sighed as she typed something into the keypad of the Goblin in front of us. "It's a weekend. Barely anyone leaves the base, unless they're visiting family, or have a mission to do."
Lauren then climbed into the cockpit, and took her seat, and I followed in, and shit the door thing. "Alright. Now, I seriously hope you know how to fly this thing. I'm skilled at flying a Crow, but it's radically different from a Goblin."
Lauren chuckled. "Of course I know how to fly this."
We then took off out of the Warhog, and into space to Haven, to get MacAllan.
