The story

Chapter 4

6:30, I hear my alarm go off. Moments after I put as much energy as there is in my body this early in the morning and turn it off.

6:45, there's a bang on the door followed by the usual ''Ethan, are you up?'' that my mom always asks. I don't ever reply, so why do it today?

7:00, Ariel enters the room. She leaves a soft kiss on the back of my head and then proceeds to shake me as if  her life depended on it. After she decides that that's enough shaking for a day she kisses me again and leaves the room.

7:15, I get out off bed, get ready and rush downstairs to have breakfast.

 Not too many moments after we get into the car and soon after to school. Ariel grabs my hand the moment we get out of the car and alongside with Grayson we get inside the huge building. 
Everyone is gathered near the central notice board. Today, before class, we'll know who is our new team captain.
All three of us get closer to the boards as the crowd gets bigger. Minutes pass but I swear it felt like ages. 
Coach's office door opens and the smiling man walks closer towards the boards and us. He stands somewhere in the middle of this sea of students and proceeds to make the announcement. I can feel my heart beating in my throat.

-Ladies and gentlemen. We have gathered here today to let you know who your new team captain is. I must say that it was a very hard pick, mainly because I had to choose between the greatest in this school, kids I've trained since a very long time ago. Choosing this one person today was the hardest and in the same time the easiest thing I had to do in my entire career. The hardest because as I said they are the best and the easiest because I know how much the chosen one deserves it and how he will not let me down. I don't want heads down if you are not the one, you know you belong in my team one way or another. I think I've already said enough though. How about you get to know your new team captain?

The whole room screamed 'YES' while cheers filled the small space.

-Without further do.....I present to you your team captain........ Ethan Dolan!

-DID HE SAY WHAT I HEARD HE SAID ARI?
-YES BABE! YOU DID IT!
I hug her tight while she jumps up and down with excitement.

Coach waved for me to get closer to him. He hugged and congratulated me and said he expects big things from now on.
Everyone was cheering for me. There was clapping everywhere, people smiling at me, people celebrating with me. Even the other candidates congratulated me and told me I won this place with hard work and that they recognize that.
As I make my way to my 'best fans', my best friends and the people I could count on this whole entire time I feel fulfilled. Like my purpose of living is achieved. I have the most supportive brother in the world that goes side-by-side with the most supportive and brilliant girlfriend I could ever ask for, I just became team captain. What could I possibly want more?
 That's not quite true in the end. There are greater things waiting for me. Now that this milestone is over I can focus on this bigger goal of mine: going varsity. 

**A.N: I would like to apologize about not updating for this whole time but I was on vacation somewhere with no somewhat good internet connection.
