Okay it all began when I started actually started living with my daddy and step mom, Timothy Haynes and Patricia Williams in Dallas, Texas my 10th grade year. I had been going back and forth over the summers from Dallas before I actually lived with them. Well you know that saying you don't know nobody until you live with that somebody. Well it turns out the saying is true. Before I knew my daddy I use to hear store's about him going back and forth from the penitentiary for Selling drugs, Valance etc. I felt like they were lies just to keep me from him so I looked him up on the Internet, I read that he has been to jail for assaults with deadly weapons, drug charges, abuse and rapes. I use to get mad at my mama a lot because I felt like it was her fault that he wasn't in my life. One day I was over my aunt Bettie's house watching cartoons. My mom walked in the door and Scodie your daddy called he wants to come see you. Back then that probably was the happiest day of my life because I was finally going to meet my daddy after 10 years when he promised me lots of things. I walked to my house where a short chubby bright skinned man with a beard sat on the couch. "Hey baby boy!" He said. All I could do was smile and laugh. It was the happiest day of my life, It was just how I imagined it would be. He started telling me how big I was getting, what he had planned for use to do over summer and that he wanted me to come to Dallas and visit with them, I said yes he gave me a hug and told me to be good. Summer came and it was the day he told me he would be here to pick me up. I started looking outside waiting for their car too pull up but it never did. That day I started feeling like what did I do wrong to make him not come. My mama told me maybe they will come tomorrow but don't get your hopes up to high baby. After my mama said that i started wondering maybe mama knew something that i didn't know, and maybe theirs and reason behind why she really doesn't want me to go. The next day came I was laying on the couch watching cartoons, my bags had been packed since the day before so I didn't have to worry about packing them. I heard a knock on the door and it was him! I got so happy, My grandmother's opened the door and he spoke and asked me was I ready. I said yes hugging my mama and everyone else and telling them I'll see them next month. When I got in the car my step mom her real name is Patrica but I call her Trish asked me was I ready I said yes smiling. On the way to Dallas in the car we were all laughing and talking. Then all of a sudden my daddy got mad at Trish asking her where the hell was the rest of his shit at. She said she put it in the safe at home like he told me too. At the time I didn't know what shit they was talking about. Then my daddy said "Son what happens between us stays with us" then he showed me a bag with what looked like white rocks in it. I asked what is that and he told me its what makes him money he laughed and then said, it very bad stuff and that I should not play with it or eat it we call it crack. A hour or so passed by we finally made it to Dallas, I could see big sky scrapers and a lot of people and I knew we won't in the country anymore. We made it to some apartments called Pecan way in Oak Cliff. They were very dangerous apartments, about 3 to 4 people either were shot or killed over there a week! I walked in the apartment and it smelled very good I looked around their was a computer in the conner, a big flat screen TV on the walls and a big round couch. Some how I made it to the kitchen and opened up the ice box and looked in it, it felt like I was in heaven it was full of my favorites from pizza rolls to cupcakes and more. I walked to the back where my grandma shug was and gave her a hug then listened to her about how happy she was of me being there. Grandma shug is my daddy is a messy old women, she smiles in your face and talks behind your back. I had knew her before i moved to Dallas because she stayed in East Texas before daddy got out of jail and she use to come see me.
A couple of minutes later my daddy called me and told me to come on. I was so happy when he said that because she was just about to tell me some lie about somebody. Granny asked where was we going and he said West Dallas.
