An innocent romance between two teens that desperately try to make their first love last.

As the dying sound of crickets signal the end of summer, middle school is just around the corner and poor Jack is anything but excited. In fact, he'd rather be a dropout than go to school, but life just isn't that simple.

However, in the midst of his less than average school year, he meets a quirky boyband loving girl that's way too energetic for his liking. One minute she's got him dancing on his feet, the next minute she's got him chasing the clouds.

Upon their first meeting, she pities him for being so reserved and untrustworthy, while he pities her for supposedly "following" the status quo. Although they see each other as pitiful existences, they can't help but find each other just a tad bit interesting despite their clashing personalities.
