A thunder clap sounds -
BOOM -
as the rain patters down on the roofs, in sync with
howls
screams
coming from off in the distance
from men and woman whom Death
had assumed a relatively kind face.
ii.
TELL ME, do you
believe in hysteria?
Insanity?
In,
Perhaps,
Madness?
iii.
And do you ever think sometimes,
these people are just as sane as you are?
(And they do not say it,
do not speak of it,
but they're laughing,
laughing long and hard,
at you).
iv.
You do like to believe that you're not (completely) mental?
(or am I wrong?)
But have you ever
thought that maybe you are the mental ones
and they're all completely (deceitfully) levelheaded?
