"It isn't official yet, but I heard all single ladies in the castle will need to join the selections." Francisca news to us.

"What kind of selection?" Monique said with an awestruck look.

"The selection to become the emperor's wife." Francisca continued.

We are here to our secret place the red room, to discuss something important. We wanted to go to the garden but then the snows are stopping us. So cold, we can't hardly go outside. The maids prepared us the chem-nee for fire. And we contented to lay down the floor to warm ourselves.

"Emperor's wife! Oh my gosh! that's amazing for you. A great opportunity is knocking on your door Ash!" All eyes are all on me now. They grin like there's something funny.

"I'm not ready for that." I said trying to divert their attention. I get up and move forward to go to the long size mirror to comb my hair. "If I'm going to marry, I will marry because of love. Not for anything else...." I said trying to act cool in front of them.

"For love?! Oh common! Tell me who's the lucky man your talking about Ash? Is that the man your dancing before? I can see through your eyes that you have a connection with him." I saw the sparkling in Monique eye's when she said those words. And that made my face redden.

"A man?! Oh God you misunderstand me? I haven't in love before. I'm just saying my own opinion about love Monique." I said holding tight the brush in my hands. I don't think she can read me easily. I hide my face to her and look to other directions. I felt guilty for what I acted. But these girls know how to manipulate humans. And I'm one of those.

"Geez... You believe so much in fairy tales darling. This is reality you know." Margaret scold. She gets up using her perfectly skills.

"I know... I know..." I said with eyes closed.

"Remember Ash, you need to secure your position for your own benefits. It is the least that you can do to save what's important for you. Queen can't protect us forever. If you have a rich man in the court. He can save you from those filthy monsters outside these castle.

"But. I have no interest in any man in the court. I can't fall, not even a single bit." I said while putting down the brush. They knew that I have lots of suitors but none of them pulls my interest. Not even a bit of hearts for them. Except, well I don't know if love is the total descriptions about this. But every time I sees him my heart beat faster and faster. Well, that's the first time. Especially, because he's the man who stole my first kiss!

"Why?" Margaret asked. Margaret snaps my thinking from nowhere.

"I don't know Margaret. Maybe I'm just waiting to someone to come. And I believe in my heart that he will come." I said folding my hands down, signifies for hope.

"Oh common! Fairy tales doesn't excess. And besides, why wait if you have this kind of opportunity? You could be an empress, your highness." She said playfully. "And darling you need a strong man to protect you to some idiotic vampires out there remember?"

I let out a heavy sigh. Well she has a point. The three girls are looking to my directions seriously. I know there's so worried about my safety but I can guarantee to myself that I'll be fine.

"And...there's something you need to know.... We will be leaving after our marriages. And we can't look after you, after that. We were so worried about you Ash that's why we convince you to find the man for you." Francisca said while getting up from laying down to the floor.
