Prologue:

He ran into the room begging for her not to be hurt, for her to be perfectly fine and to laugh at him for his fear. There was no noise in the room and it cast an eerie silence upon itself… As he walked in he looked desperately for her… only to find her lying in a pool of her own blood. He ran for her and held on tightly to her pale cold lifeless body. He cradled her and rocked back and forth wiping her bloodied hair out of her beautiful face. He looked longingly into her empty eyes, and closed them. Causing the look of fear and pain leave and making her an almost peaceful looking girl. If it weren’t for all the blood, she would look asleep. He whispered her name quietly, and the words he never said while she was alive. “I love you Alice.”

And it Echoed back to him.
