Behind the draperies, Christine can see the moon that shown feebly behind the rushing clouds. She combed her long silky hair thoroughly one more time, smiling excitedly in the full-length mirror. For the last time, she scans her flowy floral dress finding it without a flaw and sigh with anticipation. She looked gorgeous, and she knew it. The dress hugged all her curves in the right places, and her hair framed her face perfectly.

"When's your prince coming, idiot?" A voice erupted behind her. Swiveling around, Christine finds her sister Nicole giving her a once-over.

"None of your buisness," Christine says sweetly, applying some lip tint for good measure. She shot a quick glance at her LED watch and let out a shrill squeal when she realizes that in 2 minutes, her date would be here to pick her up.

"Don't get banged and come home prego," Nicole warned, teasingly. Nicole was eager to see who Christine's guy of choice was anyway.

"That's your job," Christine winked, and then quickly added a 'just kidding' before Nicole could insult her.

Sure enough, the doorbell chimed through the house, indicating arrival. Christine sucked in a deep breath and opened the foor cautiously. Christine's breathing quickened, her heart beat increasing by second. Her date, Gordon, was dressed in a tuxedo, his hair gelled up carefully, the stylish checkered tie matching with his shoes.

"Hey," Gordon smiled, giving his silly grin. His eyes became somewhat miniscule, and his straight white teeth gleamed brightly under Christine's chandeliers. He looked perfect.

"Ew," Nicole scoffed in the background, her eyes rolling up with desbelief, "That guy?"

Gordon didn't seem offended as he picked up another one of his cocky smirks and whispered, "Your sister sooo wants me."

Christine gave out a tight nervous chuckle as she tells Gordon to hold up for a moment and rushed back in her house, making a beeline to the washroom. She quickly dug out her Xperia SP and dialed her friend Shenna frantically.

"Whatduup," a voice rang from the speaker. Apparently, Shenna was just about to grab whatever food she could spot in her fridge when her iPhone vibrated signaling a call from someone.

"Can you please come over here and make sure Nicole doesn't spy on me?" Christine pleads, "I'm going on a date." She didn't want to risk her date being ruined becasue of Nicole. Not after she put in so much effort on looking nice for Gordon.

Christine's imagination ran wild; "Oh, Gordon..How dreamy he is.. Wouldn't it be nice if he twirled me around in the pale moonlight while I -"

"Yeah, sure I'll be there," Shenna broke Christine's train of thoughts. Except it came out more like "yarh, shower, iwll be bwhere" because Shenna was already muching on who-knows-what. Shenna hangs up the phone; and within a few minutes, she arrives at the front gate.

She bursts into hysterical laughter when  she sees Christine's date. Struggling to hold herself together, she bites her bottom lip to restrain herself from giggling. Christine sighed as she takes a glimpse of her watch. Time was passing quickly and they haven't left the door.

"Let's go," Christine says shyly to Gordon, and he agrees, bobbing his head up and down.

Before Christine's hand interwined with Gordon's, Shenna whispered, "He's not good for you, man. Should ditch him, he's not worth it."

Christine frowns. Why should she take advice from Shenna, whose never had a stable relationship herself? Scowling, she gives a long menacing glare at Shenna before walking away with Gordon by her side.

She hears Nicole and Shenna cackling behind her, and groans inwardly. She's beginning to doubt Shenna being an understanding friend afterall. Christine takes a small peek at Gordon who seems to be repeatedly texting someone. Christine strains her neck to see and was dumbfound when she discovered that it was a girl.

"Whose that?" Christine asks, hoping the jealousy that was rising her in her throat wasn't obvious.

"Oh, just someone," Gordon replied absently, shrugging his shoulders. Finding Gordon's reckless behavior, Christine realizes that two can play this game.

"Timmy's so smart," Christine spoke loudly, emphasizing and exaggerating every word, "he won the top 10 coolest t-shirts of the year!" Knowing that Gordon had also joined and lost, she knew Gordon would be upset by this and give her some attention.

"Did he!" Gordon shrieked, a girly voice Christine never knew existed pounced in on her, "So what?! Timmy doesn't have these cool glasses!"

Gordon pushes up his black-rimmed glasses and continued, "He doesn't have this charming smile!"

He flashes his teeth, and Christine admits they were charming and unresistable.

"And your teeny tiny puny eyeballs?" Christine suggests, trying to lighten up the mood.

The car lurches forward, sending Christine's water bottle hurdling down the dashboard with a huge thump. Gordon whirls his head towards Christine with his face all red with anger, "My eyes? Mine? Oh gee, have you seen.. your um.. uh..Your dress? It's the ugliest article of clothing ever!"

This made Christine furious, "Well, at least I don't have a checkered tie with a huge yellow stain on it!"

Gordon peers down to look, finding no stain at all, "There isn't even a stain! I checked!"

Christine nodded, satisfied, "See, this proves how gullible you are!"

"Fag!"

"Scumbag!"

"Freakshow!"

"I hate you!"

"Get out of my car!"

"More than happy to!"

With that, Christine storms out, slamming the car door with all the strength she has. Her date was ruined but she didn't care. She wasn't going to put up with his stupid little douchey life anyways. She never knew there was a jerky side to her crush. She sighed, and once again pulled out her cell to call Shenna.

Shenna answered within the first ring, "How's your date, sweetcake?"

Her somewhat innocent voice made it even more suspicious.

"Terrible, can you pick me up? I think I'm at route --," Christine started.

"No need," Shenna interrupted, a pericing giggle erupting from the speakers, "I'm here with Nicole already. See that van on your right? That's us. Hop in."

Chrisinte was right about them being suspicious. They've been spying on her all along!

"I told you to keep an eye out on Nicole, not to follow her evil plans!" Christine exclaimed, physically throwing her hands in the air.

"Well, didn't turn out well, right? Besides, hush. We've got you a new date," Shenna reassured her. Christine can practically hear the smile on her face.

Christine hops to the van skeptically, but brightens when she sees the love of her life.

Shenna and Nicole winks at her.

"TIMMY!"
