Introduction:

        McKayla's dad had died when she was nothing more than a child. She was too young to remember most of the events that occured but when her father was no longer around, and was being planned to be put six feet under, she knew exactly what was going on. Being close to her father wasn't something that she had done, but her mother seemed to be more important on a young girl's life.

      Her father died and time went on. Soon enough, her mom had met a new man.

      Deep down in her heart, she knew that even if her dad was still alive that her parents' relationship wouldn't have lasted. Something about them didn't click, but that didn't seem to matter. She was still walking around with two feet and speaking her mind.

      That man that her mom had come to know, ended up being some more than the stranger mommy brought home. That man ended up being her step-father.

     Never did McKayla think that her new step-father would have a child of his own, or one that was four years older. They lived in the same house but he never seemed to take notice to her exsistence.

    When they moved into her house, the seed was planting and a crush was arising. Living with someone could really make you come to like them. She knew his ways. The reality that he was legal and she wasn't hadn't seem to sink in because the crush was growing stronger day by day.

    Nothing could have kept McKayla Lynn from crushing on her step-brother, Liam Anthony.

     The thought of it being wrong or illegal had never once popped up into her mind. After all, he was nothing more than a step-brother and would probably never feel the same feelings.

     That was all just a figment of her imagination.

      Liam Anthony ended up becoming the reason she woke up every morning. He ended up becoming practically the only thing that could put a smile on her face. He was amazing, pure perfection, McKayla's thoughts couldn't be changed.

     Everything was completely thrown out of proportion. One month changed her life.
