"Jesus wept."
John 11:35
"All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” 6 He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again.
The angel of the LORD came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God"
1 Kings 19:5b-8

Slowly the world drifted away and I felt a feeling of numbness spread through my body. I was just so hopeless, I didn't even bother to move. I just floated helplessly through the thick and lonely darkness and let the cold cover me like a blanket. I fell asleep not out of joy like before, but out of misery.
Suddenly, a bright white light filled the space around me and the dark and cold fled. The intense radiance burned my eye-lids and forced them open. I jerked upward, smashing my head into the edge of a table in front of me. I yelped in pain, rubbed my forehead and grunted, then began to crawl backwards.
I began to see the table was covered by a white cloth with plates of food spread across it's top. The food both looked and smelled amazing, far better then anything I had ever seen. I saw turkeys, cakes and everything in between. I even saw my favorites, waffles and chocolate. There were pitchers labeled with words such as "milk" and "apple juice" then I saw a giant, green one in the center labeled "Mountain Dew" and I smiledin delight.
Something gently grasped my right shoulder as I finished crawling backwards. Startled, I looked up to see a man in long white robes and a golden rope around his waist. His skin seemed to glow and his eyes were colored like fire. Tall and bold, you could tell that he was highly respected and wise.
"Get up," the angel said in a deep and kind voice. "and eat."
I looked at the angel for a moment with a questioning face. Eat? Why? However, I got up and observed the food. I saw all my favorites and more. Meals, drinks, and deserts. My stomach growled, and I liked my lips. Would this be purging?
"No," the angel said. "I was sent here by our Father to tell you to eat. So eat. You shall understand soon."
Relieved, I dived right in. I ate like it was thanksgiving all over again. I don't remember how long or how much I had eaten until I found myself sleeping yet again.
