One hundred.

I stopped at the hundredth step. I looked back and flash my phone's torch above. I sighed. I can't anymore see the opening where I came from. I already come this far and I still need to go far.

One hundred one...

One hundred two..

One hundred three..

One hundred four..

One hundred five...

I continue to count my step as I slowly go down the stairs. I stopped when I reach the last.

Three hundred ninety nine.

I sighed. Four hundred steps including the floor. I looked forward and saw nothing but darkness. I was all alone. And I'm getting scared.

Should I go back instead? But it took me four hundred steps to reach this strange place filled with nothing but darkness. I was stupid! Bakit ko ba kasi naisipang bumaba sa hagdan? I could have stayed upstairs and wait for someone to help me, but crap! Blame this curiosity of mine for making me crazy and scared!Geez!!  I was so frustrated of myself!

I took a deep breath and sit down on the edge of the stair. I hugged my knees and put my chin over it. It was cold. I don't see any windows or any air conditioners but it was freezing cold down here. I'm getting scared. I chuckled. Pang-ilang beses ko na nga bang sinabi yun?

My eyes caught my wrist watch that gives a little glow in the dark. I smiled bitterly.

"Gray.. Where are you? Did you get my message? Do you know where am I? I'm at the bottoms of Alta Casta and it's pretty cold down here. Kung alam ko lang sana, nagdala sana ako ng jacket." I laughed bitterly. Hinigpitan ko ang yakap sa tuhod ko at bago ko pa mapigilan ang sarili ko, isang butil ng luha ang kumawala sa kaliwang mata ko.
