|Avery's pov|

"To the pool!" I yelled, running to the elevator with a towel wrapped around me, so poor Mrs. Richards doesn't get more than she bargained for.
"The boys are waiting for us." Hayden smiled down at her phone, typing away happily as I dragged her along like an excited five year old on Christians morning.

"What's going on between you and lover boy then?" I nudged her when we'd gotten into the elevator, pressing the down button and waiting patiently for her answer. She thought for a moment before saying, "we all know I have no chance." Her shoulder slumped slightly but I noticed.
"Are you stupid? He kissed you, that means something! He doesn't seem like the man-whore type, I would know." I hoped making fun of myself would cheer her up on the subject but she ignored me.

"What about Grayson?" Her face now held a mischievous look as she slung her arm around me, seeming to forget that I'm about three inches taller.
"I like him." I admit, nodding my head. We exited through the door and saw the boys jumping in the pool.

"Hey girls!" They yelled almost excitedly.
"You know, I think they should spend the day with us tomorrow." I muttered quietly to her as we set our towels down on the side of the pool.
"I don't want them to feel like they have to get me anything." She looked uncomfortable at the thought but like I was going to let my best friend have a lonely day tomorrow, of all days.
"Come on, let's get in."

Time skip brought to you by PIAS FOURTEENTH BIRTHDAY! Ly baby:)

"I love you Avery." Hayden's tired voice sounded from under the thick white duvet next to me. We were having another movie night, excited for what tomorrow had in store. Well, I was.

Let me explain, in case you still haven't caught on. Tomorrow is Hayden's birthday, her first away from home and from her family. Obviously we'd Skype or FaceTime or whatever, but I understand that she'll be a tad upset. Which is why, me being the amazing best friend that I am, have arranged a day that I know she'll love, a day she's always been saying we should do one day. What days better than her birthday? Especially her 18th, in England she's now an adult and in America she's legal. Perfect. JOKING, calm down.

Her parents gave me some envelopes/cards from her family and she's opening her presents when we get back home, along with her Christmas presents.

"I love you too." I smiled over at her, turning off the TV and snuggling up to her. "Goodnight birthday girl."

Time skip brought to you by butt cannons (pia knows ;))

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
YOU LOOK LIKE A MONKEY,
AND YOU SMELL LIKE ONE TOO!" I jumped up and down on the sofa, trying my very hardest to wake her up.
"Five more minutes?" Came her tired reply.
"Nope, get up." Popping the 'p' when I spoke, I pulled the blanket from her, even though it did nothing because LA is hottt.

"Okay, okay, I'm up." Sitting up and rubbing her eyes she soon notices the small assortment of differently shaped gifts from me. "Avery? You know how I fell about gift giving." Her groan caused me to roll my eyes.
"And you know I don't care." I skipped towards the kitchen where the tray of freshly pressed waffles and little bowls of different topping sat. Yes, I made her breakfast.
I'm boyfriend goals, what?

"Why are you such a good person?" Her groan sounded once again, this time making me chuckle.
"Eat up, we have a long day." I bought over her mug of English breakfast tea, her favourite. I'd popped out to Starbucks before waking her up. And before you ask, yes I was in my pyjamas.
