A few weeks later every guild who competed in the games this year gathered in the royal palace. Fairy tail had won the year and Sabortooth got second. I'm so proud of my guild. My family! Raven tail wasn't here though, because of reasons. Everyone was dressed nicely. We all had our own little talking groups. Gajeel was talking to Rogue. I actually really want to talk to Rogue. Maybe later. Natsu was nowhere to be seen. And this normally is a place he could be, well his loud self. But he like disappeared. Lucy and Levy were talking their faces off. Juvia was still hanging around Gray, even after him telling her he has no feelings for her. Nothing changes.
Gajeel signalled for me to come over to where he and Rogue were at. I walked over to them and Sting was asking were Natsu was at.
"He's nowhere to be seen Sting. I haven't seen him yet." I said after Gajeel got mad at him. Sting walked off after that.
"So why have you been distancing yourself from Ryos?" Gajeel said. I froze in my place. What? Has he known that me and Rogue were friends twelve years ago?
"What? How . . . that's crazy. You know I'm antisocial." I said getting defensive. I could hear Rogue slightly laugh behind me. Gajeel walked away satisfied from my reaction. It was just Rogue and I now. This hasn't been like this in a while. And its very awkwardly silent.
"Come with me." he said grabbing me by my wrist and dragged me out to the balcony. I looked out in the night sky remembering all the times I thought I'd be alone forever. But then my memories went to the times I spent with Rogue. I never talked around him, so he thought I was mute. To make him still think that I did hand signals. After a few months of hanging out, I finally spoke and felt guilty for lying to him all that time. He was my only friend and I thought I blew it. But here I am with my childhood friend under a beautiful night sky. After twelve years, here we are with one another again.
"You know I never thought that we would ever talk or see each other again." I said.
"Yet we found one another after so long." Rogue said draping an arm around my shoulders. Hugging me from the side a little. I smiled, because this is what I actually needed for as long as I can remember. I just need to find Auquaitis.
"How's your cheek?" Rogue asked.
"Oh its much better than before." I said. He smiled. "You should smile more. . .it's nice seeing you smile." His smile grew.
"Well you know how you thought you had a dream of being attacked." He asked.
"Yeah I really don't think that anymore. I know that Raven Tail attacked me. But I haven't found my protector yet." I said. He smiled and I had a feeling he knew something. "Rogue what do you know? Do you know who protected me?"
"In fact I do." Rogue said.
"Who?" I said getting excited to finally know.
"He's standing next to you right now." My eyes went wide. "I was with Frosch going back to where our guild was. But Frosch stopped all of a sudden. I looked to what had caught his attention. Then I saw you on thee floor. My instinct was to go pick you up cause I just thought you pasted out. But I saw that Raven Tail was attacking you. And couldn't let them hurt someone I care about." He was going to go on but I surprised him by giving him an actual hug, not just a side hug.
"Thank you Rogue." I said about to release from the hug, but Rogue finally hugged back and the hug lasted longer.
"Elia! Rogue! What are you guys doing!" Sting and Natsu yelled. Hey Sting found Natsu.
"We were hugging. Is that a bad thing?" I shouted back. I looked at Rogue and he chuckles a little. We went back into the building and went to two separate groups to talk in. Natsu pulled me away from the group I was in and gave me a lecture. He was upset that he wasn't the only one I hugged anymore. I laughed at him. I told him about how Rogue saves me from Raven Tail. Then told him about how Rogue and I have known each other for a very lon time. In a way Natsu was still upset, but felt a little better. He then went back to the party.
"Where was Natsu before I left?" I asked.
"Oh he took the kings crown and said he was the new ruler." Lucy said. I started to laugh. Natsu is one weird guy.
I walked over to where Sting and Rogue were. They were talking with Gajeel again.
"Speaking of the devil." Rogue said.
"Since when am I the devil. I for one am Cordelia." I said jokingly. Sting and Gajeel both facepalmed. Rogue was the only one who smiled. "See Rogue has a food sense of humor."
"What did you and Cordelia talk about earlier?" said Sting.
"Why do you want to know. This is mine and Rogues business." I said
"You know the girl I always talk about, that I met when I was seven?" Rogue questioned.
"Yeah what about her? Aren't we going to go look for her after this." Sting said. I started to blush. "No way! You're. . .I should have figured.
"Hehe. . .yeah it quite obvious that we did know one another." I said scratching the back of my head.
The party came to an end and we all had to leave the castle. I won't see Rogue or Sting for a while. In my opinion, I think me and Rogue are going to hang out more often now. I got back to my hotel room and went straight to bed. Before I fell into a deep sleep, I wondered what if Rogue does end up like future Rogue. No I won't let that happen.
*Dream*
I was near the Sabortooth guild and was with Frosch and Rogue. We were all very happy. On my night shoulder there was a Sabortooth guild mark instead of my Fairy Tail one. It was the same color though.
"Do you ever wonder if Fairy Tail will ever come back?" Rogue questioned.
"Yeah I know it will. How would Natsu feel once he finds out that it disbanded." Rogue nodded his head in agreement. Natsu would freak out. Wait why did Fairy Tail disband. I'm so confused by this dream. Next thing I knew was that I was with Natsu and Lucy again. They were trying to bring the guild back together. Natsu took the job Rogue was going on. And I had no clue why I was apologizing. Now I feel bad for Rogue.
We got to the place where the job took place. We were looking for Gray, and it seemed he got himself into some trouble. What happened to my ice buddy. That was the end of that scene. The last part was very dark and ominous.
*End of Dream*
