How you Meet *Connor

Connor: It was a cold Saturday lunch time and you were working part time at the reptile shop at the Shopping centre. Working here was a delight for someone like yourself seeing as you weren't much of a people person. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't that you hated everybody. To be honest you were a really nice person. There were just times when you hated being around loads and loads of people and could easily feel claustrophobic. So working in a place with usually the maximum of 50 people a day is fantastic. 
It just so happened that today of all days and certain band were playing at the centre. At what was this band? The Vamps! You wished you could see them, however after hours of begging and begging your boss to let you see them he threatened to fire you. 

After you heard screams die down and equipment being packed away! You sat on the counter with the new Leopard Lizard crawling all over your hands, humming along to Wild Heart. 

Here I go again
You got my heart
Tonight we'll dance 
I'll be yours and you'll be mine

At this point you heard the bell above the door jingle, signalling that someone had just entered but not really minding seeing as only the usual people come in and they always hear you singing. Although you were hardly looking for any attention so you quietened down a bit and bought the lizard closer to your face and began singing once again.

We won't look back
Take my hand and we will shine

Oh oh oh she needs a wild heart.

Somebody else sang with you. At this you dropped the lizard onto the floor and it scuttled away. Your eyes were following every little movement on the floor in hope of finding the petite animal but finding no luck. 

That voice though. So familiar, but where from. As you followed the floor to try and find the person who is to blame. as soon as you found them, there was just one thing you thought.

'Damn I wish I had those shoes'

"Aha thanks?" The stranger spoke up.

"Did I really just say that outlo-" You were cut short when you found out who you were talking to. 

Connor Ball. 

As in the Connor Ball. 

The one in which you had begged and begged to go and see. 

He was here, in front of you.

Quickly regaining your posture you did your job.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" sharp breaths drying your mouth. 

"Well I was going to ask if you could show me your reptiles. I think Rex is a bit lonely." he replied.

You must have a confused look plastered across your face as he soon added on:

"Rex is my Lizard" 

"Oh yeah of course!" You answered.

"I would be more than happy to help you find that Leopard Lizard... If you want, that is?" 

Your mind clicked.

"Oh god, of course! If you wouldn't mind that would be great." you exclaimed. Nearly forgetting about your little friend. 

"You just know quite a bit about reptiles then? I mean, that lizard is one of the rarest of forms of leopard."

"Yeah, well I've been pretty much obsessed with them since I was young and have been meaning to buy another because two is just a great number. Don't you think?" he questioned.

"I suppose so. It can usually be better to have two of something. Unless, you know, it something like an STI or ghosts." you chuckled to yourself which was soon chorused with Connor's tone.

10 minutes later*

"Where the hell can he be?!" You groaned. 

"I have an idea!" Connor said as if he hasn't even heard what you said.

Within no time he was army crawling against the floor and searching under all of the shells. The sight that you saw, Connor biting his lip and eyebrows furrowed in concentration. How could you not laugh? 

"What do you think you’re laughing at Missy?" he asked feigning anger. 

"Do you honestly think that you’re going to find him this way?" Still struggling to breathe as you clutch your stomach.

"As a matter of fact" he announced as he came waltzing up to you "it has worked". He said as he handed you the lizard.

"Oh thank Christ!!" you shouted so loudly that once again that the lizard jumped from you and aimed for the floor. Thank goodness Connor was there to stop its fall. 

"Maybe I should just put him back in his cage. Yeah?" He asked with a smirk.

"Aha thanks!"

"Anyway... I was wondering what you’re doing at about 7 tonight?" Connor asked with a hint of nervousness in his voice. 

"That when I close and lock up the shop. Can I ask why?" You smiled.

"I was just going to ask if you wanted to go on a walk with me? The city in the dark is great even if it is a tad chilly!" 

You were taken aback. Connor wanted to actually spend time with you. Well time other than looking for a lizard.

"I think I'd like that." you replied after what felt like a millennium.

"Amazing! Can we exchange numbers?" he asked one eyebrow rose.

"Of course!"
