--Jades POV--

I grabbed my duffel bag and ran down the stairs. The entire pack was downstairs to say goodbye. Everybody's faces were no where near happy. I hugged everybody I could and said my goodbyes.

When I got out of the door and started walking, I stopped and turned around for one last look at the house that I will honestly miss so much.

I was walking through the woods on my way to meet Dampyr just thinking. I'm on my way to go with someone who I know is dangerous and probably will end up killing me. I don't know what he has planned and I don't want to find out.

I know going with Dampyr is wrong but I'm doing it to save the people I love. I kept going over the possibilities of what I could do to stay but came up with nothing.

Soon enough I was standing in the clearing. Alone. Where is he? He said midnight. I took out my phone. 12:00 right on the dot. When I looked up from my phone. He was there. He was not at all what I pictured him to be.

"You actually came." He said. "I wasn't going to let you kill anyone. Better me then them." I say setting my duffel bag on the ground. "So what is your plan? Are you going to kill me? Turn me into a monster?"

He laughed. "No, no. I have a better idea then both. I need your help." He said and my eyes almost popped out of my head. "My help. Why my help? You are stronger than anyone."

"Not true. There is someone else someone who is way more powerful than me. I need your help to take him down."

"But I'm only an Alpha. I'm not as strong as you and if you say he is way more powerful we don't stand a chance."

"That's why I'm going to turn you." Wait what? "What? But I've already turned how would-." Then it hit me. "No, no, I will not be like you." I said shaking my head.

"I'm afraid you don't have a choice." He said taking steps toward me. "Now let's go we have already wasted enough time."

I grab my bag and walk toward him. A smile played on his lips. We were heading South when someone came out of the woods. Tate.

"Jade you can't go! I won't let you!" He yelled from the other side of the clearing. No. No. No.

"Who is this?" Dampyr said walking toward Tate. "My brother." I whispered. "You will not take her! She isn't going anywhere!" He yelled running toward Dampyr.

"Tate No!" I yell but it's to late. Tate is already flying in the air. He knocks over a tree when he lands. He got back up and ran toward Dampyr again.

This time Dampyr blocks all the punches Tate sends and grabs him by the throat. He made Tate kneel down to the ground and went behind him. "You really think you could beat me."

"Dampyr stop!" I yell when he was about to snap Tate's neck. "You better watch how you speak to me!" Dampyr spat.

"Let him go. Please." I say tears running down my face. I got my brother back and I can't loose him again. "What happens if I don't."

"I will kill you. I don't care if it kills me or takes me a hundred years I will find you and kill you." I said through gritted teeth. He laughs but lets Tate go.

I sigh in relief and run to Tate's side. He is coughing trying to get his breath back. "I told you not to do anything stupid."

"I can't sit around and let him take you away. I just got you back." He says tears brimming in his eyes. I hug him and don't let go until Dampyr clears his throat.

I look up at him. He taps his watch as in telling me we need to leave. I turn back to Tate. "Tell everybody I'm sorry and I will be back. I promise." I say and get up.

I grab my duffel bag and walk out of the clearing with Dampyr by my side.

--Tate's POV--

I sat there in the clearing watching my sister walk away with the most dangerous person ever. After they were out of site I let the tears fall. I pulled my knees up to my chest and set my on my knees.

I sat there for what felt like forever but it was only ten minutes. By now the tears have stopped. Just when I was about to get up I heard rustling coming from where Jade and Dampyr disappeared.

I got up ready for a fight if Dampyr appeared. But it wasn't him. It was Wes. "Where is she?" He said his eyes bloodshot. "She gone." I whispered.

"I'm too late." He whispered. I nod and walk over to him. I put my arm around his shoulder. "She wanted me to tell everybody she was sorry and she will be back."

He looks up at me, his eyes full of hope. "Lets go we have to tell the others." I say patting his shoulder. "How is Kian going to take this?" Wes asks. "I guess we are about to find out." I say as we arrive at Jades pack house.

Kian is waiting outside. When he sees us he frowns. "Where's Jade? She was suppose to meet me an hour ago."

Wes and I look at each other. "Kian listen.... Jade isn't here." I say walking over to him. "What do you mean she isn't here? Where is she?" He asked looking worried.

"She gone." Wes blurted out before I could say anything. "Where is she!" Kian asked raising his voice. He looks from Wes to me. "Tate?"

I run my hand through my hair and look up at Kian. "She went with Dampyr."

"What!" He yells. "I'm sorry but she didn't have a choice."

"Why didn't she tell me!" He yelled. "Kian you need to calm down." I say putting my hand on his shoulder but he just shrugged it off. "Don't tell me what to do and answer my damn question!"

"She didn't want you to go after him. She knew if you did you would of died."

He looks like he is going to explode.

"Kian don't even think about it." Wes says stepping in front of Kian. "Get the hell out of my way!" He yelled and shoved Wes. Kian ran toward the clearing, shifting before he disappeared in the woods.
