The two of us ran out of the room, and I followed him to another Quinjet. I was dropped into a bush to standby until needed. "Look to your elder people, let him be an example." The man said.
He lifted his staff thing, causing my heart to speed up rapidly, but just in time, Steve landed in front of the elder, reflecting the beam of light from the staff. "You know, the last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing," Steve said, going into soldier mode.
"The soldier, a man out of time." The man replied.
"I'm not the one who's out of time."
Above Steve, the Quinjet hovered, as gun dropped out from under it and aimed at the man. "Loki, drop the weapon and stand down." Agent Romanoff's voice came from the Quinjet.
The man, Loki I assume, used his scepter to shoot at the Quinjet, which barely maneuvered out of the way. Steve threw his Shield at Loki, and they began to duke it out. I watched as Loki flung Steve to the ground, which is when I stepped out, staying where he couldn't see me. Steve threw his shield, but Loki swatted it away, to which I could catch it. I took the attention from Steve, using one of the bars to hit him on the back. He looked at me and went to hit me. I used the bar to block him, stepping back, every time he tried to hit me, I blocked it. I a bar up, lighting it on fire and hitting him in the face, knocking him to the ground. He got up and grabbed me, I kicked him in the knee, swinging around. He hit me back, twisting and putting his scepter to the tip of my head. "Kneel!" He yelled.
"Not today." Steve retorted, joining in by ramming into him. Suddenly AC/DC's Shoot to Thrill started blasting over the speakers and the man known as Iron Man flew in, blasting Loki to the ground.
He pulled out every weapon the suit had. "Make a move Reindeer Games." He said, his voice slightly robotic through the suit, as Steve and I moved to either side from him, and might I say, we looked epic. Iron Man with his arm out, hand glowing, Steve standing tall with his shield on his arm, and me with my poles on fire, out in front of me ready to attack.
Loki put his hands up in surrender, his armor, which might I say is quite nice, faded into a tux. "Good move."
"Mr. Stark," Steve said.
"Captain...s." He added the s after glancing at me.
I nodded at him. We got Loki and climbed into the Quinjet, tying Loki up and cuffing him to his seat as the three of us stood together. "You, I haven't met you." Mr. Stark said, looking at me.
"Shayla Rivers. They call me The American Dream." I introduced, holding out a hand.
He shook it, "Tony Stark, they call me the man of your dreams."
Oh boy, one of these. A lot like his father. Cheesy, hysterically cheesy. "Oh is that so, you know I'm 93, right?" I stated.
"You are the hottest 93-year-old I have ever met."
I stifled a laugh, and we stood quietly. "I don't like it," Steve said, breaking the silence.
"What, Rock of Ages giving up so easily?" Mr. Stark asked.
"I don't remember it being ever that easy. This guy packs a wallop." Steve said.
"Still, you are pretty spry, for an older fellow. What's your thing? Pilates?" Mr. Stark asked.
"What?" Steve and I said in unison.
"It's like calisthenics. You guys might have missed a couple of things, you know, doing time as a Capsicle, or a Dreamsicle." He said, turning his attention to me at the end.
"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in," Steve stated.
"Yeah. There's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you."
Steve opened his mouth to reply but was cut off my lightning and thunder almost hitting the jet and making it shake violently. "Where's this coming from?" Agent Romanoff asks.
I looked at Loki who stared out the window intently. I never explained what he looked like, maybe not the right time, but I'm sure its fine. He had raven black hair that was about shoulder length. His eyes were emerald green, the only pop of color on his ghostly white skin. He had a muscular build, god-like. His shoulders were broad, and he was tall. Good enough. "What's the matter, scared of a little lightning?" I teased.
"I'm not overly fond of what follows." He replied.
The ramp opened, and I looked at it. Something landed on it, someone. The man was tall too, even broader shoulders. This guy was like an enormous muscular version of Barbie. His blond hair was shoulder length too, and him, I was almost positive he was a god. He grabbed Loki, catching me off guard. He just casually flew out. "Now there's that guy."
Tony's helmet covered his face as he walked to the end of the ramp. "Another Asgardian?" Agent Romanoff asked.
"Think that guy a friendly?" Steve asked.
"Doesn't matter, if he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract is lost," Tony stated.
He turned back around and got ready to jump. "Stark! We need a plan of attack!" I yelled.
"I have a plan, attack." He retorted, then jumped.
Good enough. Steve and I both hurried to put on parachutes. "I'd sit this one out guys." Agent Romanoff called.
"I don't see how we can," Steve replied.
"These guys come from legends; they're basically gods."
That makes so much sense now. "There's only one god ma'am, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that.
