All Noah wanted was to be happy.

He sat on his bed, his tired eyes staring at the wall in front of him, breathing slowly. He just wanted this to be over.

He wished that The Keeper would die, or at least leave him alone, but he knew it wouldn't end for a long time. He never really saw the faceless man anymore, but Noah knew he was always there, watching. It wasn't the keeper that scared him though, that honor went to the Observer.

He just couldn't believe that that... THING, was actually his old friend, Kevin. It sounded so ridiculous, yet Noah knew it was true. That's what scared him so much. Kevin had been his friend, no, his BEST friend, and now...

He sighed. He didn't want to think about it right now. He laid down on his messy and unkempt bed and wrapped the covers over him, shivering. He figured the only thing he could do now was sleep.

He let his eyes droop closed, and he tried to relax, despite knowing he was vulnerable. He was vulnerable anyway, and he had to sleep at some point.

Slowly he let himself drift to sleep, and, sadly, he didn't hear the journal trying to warn him. "Noah."

Noah didn't answer, as he was deep asleep. The journal noticed. "Noah, get up! He's here."

As if on cue, the Observer slowly slithered out of the darkness, frowning. He was angry. Noah wasn't listening to the Keeper, and that put them both in danger. As he walked over to Noah's bedside, he saw the other mans slumbering body, and he couldn't help but smile softly.

"Noah..." The Observer said softly, and Noah's eyes twitched. The Observer let a hand rest on Noah's forehead, brushing his messy hair away.

He slowly built up the courage to sit on the side of his bed, and Noah's eyes snapped open.

The Observer jumped back, not expecting him to wake, and he slowly got up to meet Noah's eyes.

"Wh.. What are you doing here?!" Noah  demanded, angry. The Observer didn't answer, he just watched. Noah's eyes were fluttering with drowsiness, and he was losing his anger.

The Observer wasn't scared now, and he walked back over to Noah's bedside, terrifying Noah. But the Observer wasn't going to hurt him.

He sat, right next to Noah, and Noah flinched. "What the fuck do you want...?" Noah asked, tired. The Observer slowly let himself speak. "Nothing, really...."

"Then why are you here?" Noah retorted, and the other man sighed. "To talk."

"If you're trying to trick me, it isn't working."

The Observer laughed a little. "No, no. I just want to tell you something, while the Keeper isn't watching."

"He's not here?" Noah asked, confused. The Observer shook his head and looked at Noah seriously. "Now listen."

Noah nodded.

"You are not alone. The Keeper will lose, I'm sure of it." Noah looked suspicious, but he kept listening. "Sebastian's journal, like HABIT said, is a bullet proof vest, and once you get it, The Keeper can't hurt you. But he will go harder on you. He will torture you until you listen. Unless..."

Noah's eyes widened. "Unless what?"

"Unless one of us turns you."

Noah jumped back. "Turns me... Into one of you?!"

The Observer nodded, and Noah sat still. "He couldn't hurt me then..?"

The Observer nodded, and he spoke: "you don't have to be loyal to The Keeper either. You can be like Firebrand, or HABIT..."

Noah nodded slightly. "Oh... But, where would I go?"

The Observer smiled softly. "Probably with Firebrand, or possibly HABIT, if you're lucky."

Noah thought, while weighing his choices. "So... You came here to turn me..?"

"If you want."

Noah sighed. "Do it."

The Observers eyes snapped up to meet his. "Are you sure?"

"Yes." Noah said quietly. Tears started to form in his eyes and he continued. "I... I just want this to end. Make it end, Observer. Please..."

The Observer looked shocked as Noah broke down crying, and he slowly wrapped his arms around Noah's lonely body. "I will, Noah. I promise."

He tilted Noah's head up, and looked at Noah's tear stained eyes. He wiped the tears away and Noah looked at him in an unreadable expression. "Noah..." The Observer said softly. Noah whimpered and breathed heavily, scared.
The Observer gently placed a small kiss on Noah's cheek before picking him up in his arms. "Come on now. I'll make you alright, I promise."

Noah nodded quietly and sobbed. "Thank you."
