It was about midnight, and Skylar was having trouble going to bed. She sat up, looking up in the sky, the moon was full that night so she could see from her window the night sky and all it beauty.
It would hurt to take a little walk...
She thought to herself. She then got out of bed to get dressed. She didn't want to make the same mistake she did last time she snuck out of the house and wake her parents, so she decided to go out her window.
As she walked, she found herself heading to the forest that was close to her house. She found an ease tree to climb and sat on a branch that was sturdy enough to hold her weight. She laid down and looked up at the blueish black sky.
"Sigh... Summer just started and I'm already getting bored." Skylar said with a disappointing tone. She looked up at the sky for a while before she heard a loud crash which almost made her fall out of the tree. She slowly climbed down to see what made the loud noise. One thing that Skylar really hated about herself is that her curiosity and longing for adventure gets her in trouble and it happens A LOT. As she was climbing down, her foot slipped and she fell with a loud thump onto her butt.
"Well that was graceful..." Skylar mumbled to herself. That was another thing Skylar hated about herself... She was extremely clumsy. She finally got up and brushed all the leafs that wear some leafs still stuck to her and she started to carefully move toward the noise of wear the noise came from.
She searched for about 30 minutes before she stopped to take a brake at a little steam and took off her backpack to get her water bottle.
"This was kinda a wast of time." Skylar mumbled to herself. Skylar was about to get up until she heard something splashing around in the water and froze. She slowly started looking to her left and saw a creature that was the size of a horse but had semi-short legs. It had large wings and a tail that was as kind of thin and long. At the end of the tail, there where two flaps that looked like a two wings on a plane. The creature also had two long ears (well they looked like ears) and big greenish blue eyes.
Is t-that what I think it is...
Skylar was staring at the black colored animal and could only think of one thing that it reminded her of... A dragon...
