I grit my teeth as my prep team takes away my every imperfection. Rinna, rips away the wax on my legs, leaving them pink and hairless. Tears bite at my eyes, as every single bit of hair is torn away from my body, and gentle is not an option.

"Ouch." I say and bite my tongue.

"Sorry sweety, I'll try to be more careful!" Rinna says in her high pitched, squeaky, Capitol accent as she rips another piece off, more careless than last time.

My prep team circles over me, chatting with each other. There accent is even worse than Effies, and I catch their every word. They hiss the letter s and roll the letter r. They say the letter a strangely, and it's starting to work at my last nerve. They speak in a high pitched squeak, and it's a wonder on how people don't laugh at them. I imagine them as little mice, prancing around, talking in their squeaky voice.

Wicken, he has blue hair, orange eyes, and wears an obsurd amount of makeup. His eyeliner is blue, to match is wig, and his lips a bright orange, almost to match is eyes. His eyebrows, painted on a bright blue, and flick gold in the light. Rinna, has bright purple skin, and fuchsia hair that bounces around when she walks. Her makeup is caked on, and completely visible to the eye. Her eyeliner is winged almost to the edge of her face, and is a bright, hot pink. Her lips are purple, almost lavander. She had gold tattoos on her face, arms, and hands. She is on the more chubby side of things, and probably has never gone without a meal. Kauni , has bright yellow hair, that looks like she stole from the sun. Her make up is based off of fire colors. Her eyebrows are blue, eyeliner orange, lips red, and skin tone a yellowish, orange glow.

After they completely strip me of every hair on my body, they look over me. Wicken quickly grabs tweezers and plucks my eyebrows. When he finishes, he quickly moves to my hair, which I requested to stay in my mothers careful braid, and they don't really touch it. But he does pluck every split end, and every hair that doesn't being on my scalp. Kauni quickly grabs my nails, and looks over them. She frowns, and drops my hand to my side.

"Cinder can deal with that." She says and waves her fingers as she moves away.

Rinna runs around me, with tweezers, taking away any stray hair she can find. I don't object to anything, considering that they have to deal with district twelve every year, and they are experts at making us looks the least of bit desirable.

Once they finish their forever long process, they move away and stand directly in front of me. They look completely satisfied I think. Rinna claps, and bounces up and down, but Wicken still looks unsatified.

"Scrub her down!" He barks, and Rinna quickly grabs a cleaning device and scrubs me down. She takes my arms, and scrubs. The machine takes away every bit of dead, dry, or flaky skin from my arms. The soap, bubbly and what once was white, is now brown with dirt. She frowns and continues on her way, not leaving a single inch of skim unscrubed. Rinna is my favorite because she doesn't complain on how disgusting I am.

Kauni yanks at my braid, and runs soap and water over my head, to at least try to clean it. She, what she calls gently, scrubs over my scalp, but her nails end up leaving it in raw pain. She sets my hair in a machine where it dries instantly.

By the time I am completely, hairless, and scrubbed practically to the bone, my skin is a bright red, and tingles. If I even touch it, it sends a shock down my body. I think I am done, and survived but Wicken has more in mind.

"Her skin. It's so red! Put lotion on it Rinna." He snaps.

Rinna instantly rubs me down with lotion. It burns and makes my skin tingle worse, but then as if by majic, it soothes the pain. It must be something only the Capitol gets, considering that they get makeovers like this everyday. The redness is almost instantly leeched from my skin, leaving it absolutely flawless.

"We haven't lost complete hope that you'll look even better." Kauni says, probably under the implication that it was a complement.

"What are you talking about Kauni?! She is absolutely ravishing!" Rinna squeaks, and clasps her hands together.

"Thank you Rinna." I say politely with a smile. I can't get angry at them considering they are total airheads, and their ways completely resemble a child's.

"Eh. She's good enough to send her to Cinder." Wicker says, and waves his hands.

"Kauni! Go get Cinder, tell him she's ready to go." He orders as they file out of the room.
