A young man stepped out of the pool shed and looked around. It was a warm day as the sun beat diwn on the mans back. He stepped to the edge of the pool and stopped. He dipped his toe in, testing the temperature.
He was of average height and a string build. He was in his late teens but appeared older. He had bright blue eyes and a square  jaw. His brown hair was short and extended past his side burns in a few day old stubble.
The man took a few steps back and jumped into the pool. He stayed under for a few moments, then popped back up. He swam to the edge of the large pool. He braced his feet against the edge, waited a beat, then pushed off.
He swam to tge other end in quick, strong strokes, each one pulling him through the water faster and faster. He reached the other end of the pool and pulled himself up on the edge. He stood up and water fell off his body and onto the cement beside the pool.
A man in a suit walked over to the young man and handed him a towel. "Here you go, Master Gabe."
Gabe grabbed the towel and dried off his face. "Thanks George. And please, call me Gabe."
"Whatever you say, Master Gabe." George walked back into the house.
As he walked through the door, a man and a woman walked out to the pool. They were arguing sharply.
"You can't  keep investing in all of these flimsy organizations." the man said. "I dont want you soiling this family's name!"
The woman shouted back. "They arent flimsy!"
Gabe spoke up. "Mom. Dad. Please stop arguing."
"Stay out of this son!" his mother demanded.
"Not flimsy!" hus dad yelled back at his wife. "Why that last one wasn't..."
Gabe walked away shaking his head. "I wish they could just figure it out." he walked inside the house as gray rain clouds rolled in, ready to dump their contents at any moment.
