The Dusty Grave

As I gazed apon my grandmother's old dusty grave I started to recall the tragedy.

"Sarah, get up it's time for school!" my grandmother said. I got up reluctantly and started getting ready for school. I went down stairs and started eating breakfast. Ever since my parents death my brother and I have been living with my grandma. As my brother and I left we said goodbye. Little did we know that was the last time we would see our grandmother.

While I was at school I got called to the office. I walked in and saw my brother sitting in one of the chairs waiting for me. "Come take a seat," principal Wiseman said. As I sat down the principal took a seat as well. "

The principal started talking "I'm sorry to say I have some bad news," I took a breath preparing me for the inevitable. He then finished the sentence, "Your grandmother is dead." I ran, I ran home tears streaming down my face. I then locked myself in my room shuting out the world.

Two Weeks Later

For two weeks I had just cried and stayed in my room, barely eating and only talking to people if I absolutely had to. I eventually came out and started to try and act normal but I was still so sad and depressed inside.

Everyone I loved had been stolen away from me. I just couldn't understand why this had happened. My friend waved her hand in front of my face bringing me back to reality. "Ok we need to pick out dresses for the dance," she said. "Amber, you know I'm not going." "Come on this is going to be the best dance of the year." Amber said. "
