Then he walked back across the green, to where Will Solace was waiting.

Nico had no idea how good it would feel finally getting that off his chest. He felt like the weight of the sky had been lifted off his shoulders - something Percy had actually experienced. He'd had a childish crush on Percy, an admiration for his hero, but he was over that now. He felt that finally confessing, without fear, was the perfect ending to that chapter of his life.

Now, he couldn't help thinking about this new chapter. He had turned his back on the darkness of his past and was determined to make this future brighter. Something his father had said to him in Portugal crept back into his mind. "My children are so rarely happy", he had said. "I ... I would like to see you be an exception".

All these things were passing through his head now, as he walked towards his future; a tall, blonde son of Apollo, with a wide smile on his face, as bright as the sun. One of the only things that could make him happy. For once, Nico decided to take his fathers advice.

"Three days, Death Boy. Starting now", Will said, the smile still on his face. Three days in the infirmary was probably hades for most people, but Nico couldn't help but return the smile as he looked into Will's blue eyes.
