The metal red door stood beneath us as we neared, Ren grabbed the cold handle and pulled as hard as he could, after he released his grip, his knuckles turned from white, back to its normal colour. A long cold stairway led down from the trapdoor, so their HQ is underground, I thought.
"Come on, we're heading in," said Lydia. We nodded in response as we made our way down into the coldness of the tunnel. I reluctantly followed the group as I suffered from claustrophobia an the tunnel was so narrow that we had to walk in a straight line. Suddenly, something silky brushed against my face, I let a scream slide out of my mouth 'AHH!', it was too late to stop my scream, the whole group stopped and turned to face my tomato red face.
Oh crap! "Sorry, just a spider web," I said embarrassed by the way they looked at me.
We continued down the endless tunnel when Alice ran up ahead, "I can't take it anymore, I'm going on ahead." It had only been a minute or so until one we heard a high pitched scream, the torches began to flicker from the impact of the soundwaves, the scream echoed through the brick walls giving us goose bumps...
It must be Alice! I thought as we hurried down to help her. Rocks began to crumble down into the big crack in the ground as Alice hang there whimpering as she hang onto a mere root that looked like it would break in another few minutes. "Grab my hand!" said Lydia, stretching her hand towards Alice who gratefully grabbed it. Alice gave out a big relieved sigh as she sat there recovering from her death hang. "Your bold alright!" said Ren, letting out a laugh.
"I am?!" cried Alice as she felt her head as if she was checking if she still had any hair on her head.
"I mean your personality is bold, running ahead like that,"
"Yeah, thanks for your feedback," replied Alice sarcastically, her face turning into a deep red, I swear I saw some steam come out of her ears.
"Come on, keep moving," Lydia said as she began to move on forward, deeper into the truth of Rex's kidnap.
"Looks like we've come to a dead end," I sighed.
"We're getting my little brother back no matter what!" said Tyrant (he kind of sounded like a hero) , he began to levitate into the air as his eyes began to turn glassy. His hand moved towards the brick wall and pushed a odd colour brick, the wall began to split, revealing a wooden door. Tyrant's eyes turned back to its normal sea blue colour as he was slowly laid back on the floor by an invisible unknown force. He gasped for air and then woke up, " What happened?"
"Well, all the sudden, you began to float in the air like you were being controlled or something and then you revealed a secret door, it sounds unreal but it's true, ask the others," said Alice as we all nodded in response of what she said.
Tyrant just stared at us like we had just made it up, " Come on, we're going to open the door in 1, 2, 3..." as Lydia broke the awkward silence and twisted the rusty doorknob... Standing there was a unfamiliar old man and... Rex.
