Becca's Story II: The Spilt

Chapter Eleven: The Next Day

I opened my eyes to a blur vision while I was in someone's arms and they were running when my vision went black again. It soon came back again while in a car, again my vision was blurry and I heard people in a panic and I felt my legs being elevated and I felt my head was on someone's lap when once again it went black. I don't know how long it had been, but one last time I opened my eyes, it was still a blur but I saw a lot better then what I was able to see before. I looked around my surroundings, I was at Hill Top where the doctor was. "You're awake," he said walking in, "did, did Rick being me here?" I asked, "he did, he and your brother both begged me to save you and I promised then I'd do the best I could, and I did," he said, "thank you," I said looking at my legs. "This makes me glad to say that you'll make a full recovery and be able to go back to your brother in about two days, unless you heal completely," he said, "so is she ok?" Jesus said coming in looking over at me. I looked at Jesus and smiled when we came over to where I was and hugged me, "good thing you're ok," Jesus said, "I thought I was gonna die, and my legs still hurt," I said laughing a little, "we all thought you were going to, I saw your brother holding you tight and close to him in his arm, I thought you were dead. The fear on his face, well damn, probably the most fear I've seen on someone's face in a long time. Rick and Glenn begged him to save you," Jesus said with a chuckle, "I know he told me that they begged him," I said "your brother is still here too, he wouldn't leave unless he knew you were ok," Jesus said, "where is he?" I asked, "he's talking to Gregory with Maggie, I'll go get them," he said walking away. The doctor started checking me to make sure I was on perfect condition and that nothing seemed wrong when Glenn came in and ran over to I was followed by Maggie. "Becca! You're ok!" Glenn said grabbing my hand, "yeah, I'm ok, but I'm in a lot of pain," I said laughing, "we thought you had died while we were driving here," Maggie said, "I honestly thought I had died too, the last thing I remember, my vision was blurry and we were in a car, my legs were elevated and also having pressure being kept on them," I said, "yeah, you were on Glenn's lap and I was elevating your legs while Michonne kept pressure," Maggie said, "yeah, I couldn't make out anything that was happening, my vision was so blurry and I didn't know what was happening, I was scared," I said, "Carol also told me what Paula said to you, do you think Paula was telling you the truth?" Maggie asked, "no, I think she's still alive," I said, "wait what?" Glenn said confused, "I asked Paula if Lucy was ok, and she told me that Negan brutally killed her, but I think she was lying, I think she's ok," I said, "how will you know if she is or isn't?" Glenn asked, "I'll have to ask Negan," I said, "we killed him, there is no Negan, that guy we took, that was him," Glenn said, "no, that wasn't Negan, I know who he is, and that wasn't him, they say that to confuse people, so they wont think that Negan is alive if people are to kill him, and that's not the only base, Paula and Michelle both said it wasn't," I said, "Negan is hard to kill, he's smart," I finished. "Shit, then we're open for a warm awakening," Glenn said, "yeah, and Negan is gonna want to kill you," I said, "this group trades with Negan, I don't trust you here anymore, I need her to come back with me," Glenn said looking at the doctor, "she can't go now, she still needs to heal," he said, "no she needs to come back now, this happened because of someone in Negan's group, and Negan can do worse, she needs to come back with us," Glenn said, "ok fine, you have a doctor there right?" He asked, "yes, we do," Glenn said, "then here, she just needs to rest for at least two days, no moving from her bed," he said, "ok," Glenn replied. Glenn and Maggie helped me out of the bed and helped me walk, I tried to walk with out them even though they helped me, I didn't want to feel helpless. They got me into the back seat of a car that they let us borrow so we could drive back to Alexandria. We had gotten back the they honked the code and let us in, Glenn drove the car towards the house as they got out of the car, "why do you have the car near the house, don't they stay by the gate?" I saw Carl and heard him say, "it's so we can Becca get into the house in stead of having her walk from the gate, wait, didn't your dad tell you?" Glenn asked, "tell me what?" Carl said, "Becca got shot in both her legs, she was brought to Hill Top so they could help her, she almost bled out," Glenn said, "what?" Carl said looking into the car towards where I was. Carl then opened the door and saw me, "Becca are you ok?" Carl asked, "I'm fine Carl, I'm just in a lot of pain," I said, "watch out Carl, we have to bring her to her room, the doctor at Hill Top said she has to lay down for a while so she can heal better," Maggie said, "ok, can I stay with her though?" Carl asked, "yeah, you can stay," Glenn said looking at him with a smile. Glenn and Maggie helped me out of the car and walked me to my room laying me on the bed. "So, how did you manage to get shot?" Carl asked, "Paula told me if I didn't care about Carol then I had to kill her, I kept telling her I so then she said that if I didn't she'd kill me, painfully and slowly, so she shot me in my legs," I said, "well at least she didn't kill you," Carl said, "yeah, I thought she would, she said that she was gonna shoot me in every one of my limbs and make me bleed out, so she started with my legs, then she would do my arms, then my stomach, then chest, and then my head," I said. Carl then grabbed my hand and smiled at me, "well you're safe and you're ok, and for me that's all that matters, and if she's dead," Carl said laughing. We both kind of laughed and we just sat there talking for a little while when Carl had to leave so then I fell asleep. When I woke up Glenn had to shake me awake, "Becca," Glenn said as I woke up, "yeah?" I said looking at him "Denis, she's dead," Glenn said, "but wasn't she the doctor!?" I said waking up more after he said that, "yes, but she was shot in the head, but I know you'll be fine," Glenn said. We continued talking for a little bit when Glenn soon left and later brought me food. I ate when I later fell asleep after reading a book for a little bit.
