London:
He nodded his head as if agreeing with my comment. "Good good. Here's the address." He slipped me the paper. "Alright." I nodded and took it. I glanced at the address and my heart started beating loudly. It was one of the worst places here in Atlanta. I gulped and walked out warily. I grabbed my duffel bag and jogged toward my car. It's okay I told myself. It's all good.
I parked outside Nana's house to pick Jada up. I knocked on the door three times. Once there was no answer I walked into the back. The window was broken. "Ahh shit!" I jogged back toward my car, digging through my glove compartment. "There we go." I yanked the knife out. I made my way toward the back once more pulling myself inside.
I walked slowly toward the back whipping the blood from the broken windows shards off my hand. "Nana..." I whispered lowly. I went into the back room and saw my grandmother's neck was cut. "NANA!" I screamed dropping the knife. "Relax baby," She coughed. "I'm fine. Just go find Jada, alright." She braced herself against the wall. I shook my head as tears poked at my eyes. "Jada?" I walked into the next room. "Mommy!" She yelled running out the closet. "The bad man hurt Nana, she told me to run and hide and never come out! Nana was crying and the bad guy looked around the house trying to find something then left." She stuttered and bawled. "Alright sh shh baby." I cooed picking her up. "Mommy's here alright, the bad man won't getchu." I helped my grandmother up, "We takin you to the hospital." I helped Nana down the steps and into my car.
After I left the hospital I was told that Nana needed to be kept in the hospital. Who will watch Jada? I can't get the five to eight thousand to support Jada and not have someone to watch her. I'm kind of desperate for the money, I haven't had my own paper in a while...
"Jada, Jada babe, wake up." I shook her. She woke up, "Mommy? Where's daddy?" She threw her head back in the car seat. "Uh...um, he's on -- a little vacation baby" I lied. "So when is he coming back?" She rubbed the sleep from her hazel eyes. "Uh, soon..." She nodded and laid her head down.
"What do you want to eat munchie?" I asked handing her my iPad. "Uh iHop or McDonalds." She shrugged tapping the screen. "French fries or Pancakes Jay?"
"PANCAKES!" She screamed.
"Awlright then." I drove off, she giggled and continued playing.
We arrived at iHop and the guy sat us down. "Hello what can I--London?"
"Uh we would like--Zyale?"
"Daddy?"
"Jada?"
