Ellette’s POV-

Ok so most people, well I should say girls, would be terrified to find themselves locked in a room that had a single locked door, no windows and clearly no light switch. Not me. Sure I was scared but I was more pissed than anything.

I swear this door had to be made of steel or something because no matter how hard I kicked and banged and tried to pull it open it did not budge an inch. So now I’m stuck in the dark, scared and pissed and well. I also kind of have to pee.

Hey what can I say, I drank a lot at that party and never made it to the bathroom.

That was all I could remember before waking up here. I had been on my way to the bathroom. I could see the door and then nothing…

I tried to remember more but it was no use. Someone must have drugged me and grabbed me. This is just my luck.

I pressed my ear to the door but I couldn’t hear anything. Was anyone even on the other side? Since I could hear nothing and no one had come to the door I could only assume that no one was on the other side.

Great! Just great! I’m locked in a dark room, I need to pee and oh yeah, I’ve been kidnapped. This day can’t get any worse.

----

Hours had passed, though it could have easily just been minuets. When your in a dark room it’s kind of hard to tell time. I was sitting by the door when I thought I heard something. It sounded like footsteps and it was getting louder.

“ Hey! Hey let me out of here!” I yelled, quickly getting up as I began to hit the door again. The footsteps stopped and I head the faint sound of keys. When I heard the door handle move I quickly moved back, blinking several times as light from the hall began to fill the room.

Slowly my eyes adjusted to the light and when I saw the male in front of me I became quite confused. He seemed familiar. Wait…. He was from the party. He had bumped into me! Well more than that. He had kept me from that nasty fall. Why would he kidnap me?

He had yet to say anything and it was getting on my nerves. The guy was just standing there, watching me. Anger at what he was doing or rather not doing boiled up inside me and I lifted my fist to throw a punch at him but sadly he caught it right before it connected with his jaw.

“ I wouldn’t try to hit me if I were you” His voice was both soft and hart at the same time and yet it was all just plain strange, like there was something wrong with him. I glared at him and received a glare in return.  As I yanked my still balled up fist from his grasp I thought about trying to hit him again but now was not the time for that. I had bad luck and in saying that he would probably stop my next punch just like he had the first.

“Why am I here?” I wasn’t really expecting an answer because if movies and books were anything to go by then an actual answer to this question was not what I was going to get. A girl could try though right?

Imagine my surprise when he told me his entire plan.

“You’re here because of your father. You are the key to everything I need and want. Your father is a horrible man and works with horrible people. He will either fix me or it will be you that pays the price” I listened to him in silence. Sure he had just told me his plans but they had left me confused.  What exactly had my father done? How was he a horrible person?

I knew that he worked in a lab or something like that but as to what he actually did I had no idea. I had never been close with my father as he was always away at work. Yes we had a good relationship but still, we were not close. I saw him mostly on Sundays when he would come home and treat me and my mother to lunch and then a day out doing whatever we wanted. It was the only bonding time we ever got.  It was only Monday. My father would not even call home until Saturday night and even then I was not sure if my father would really try to save me. I never knew where I stood with him.

Maybe it would be a good idea not to tell him that as I had just been about to tell him that there was a flaw in his plan.

“Now that we have all of that settled” he said wile picking up a bag that was on the floor next to him. “Here’s some clothing. You can take a shower in the bathroom down the hall” With that he turned and left, leaving the door wide open.

I took a hesitant step outside the door and saw I was in a house. It was not a very nice house but a house just the same. I moved down the hall, glancing around for my kidnapper but he was now nowhere to be seen.

The whole house was lit by very dim lights and it made it hard to see. It took some time for my eyes to adjust but soon enough they did and upon finding the bathroom I quickly moved inside and locked the door. I may have just been kidnapped but there was no way I was passing up on a shower.
