Chapter 5

Avery in MM

10yrs later -
"Mommy " Avery yelled out from her room
"Yes baby" I called back out to her
" my movie is on mommy come watch it with me "she yelled out with excitement . These past few years have been hell for me I lost all my job offers and was evicted from my house . I moved in a little apartment on the bad part of Huston but it was a place to lay my head and I need somewhere to lay my head and this was all I could afford with half of my savings . Ive been trying to look for jobs but it's so hard to do with a little girl that's by your side twenty four seven .., but don't get me wrong my little girl was all I had and she was my pride and joy. And I loved her with my whole heart , she was now 6 years old .and it all has been a struggle . However I maintained due to my neighbor who lived next door she was like a mother and she would look after my daughter when I was out or busy  with my job search .
"Mommmmyyyyyy come on your going to miss it !" My baby girl yelled out knocking me out of deep thought.
"Ok baby, I'm coming  " I yelled back while jogging down the hall to her room.
"I'm here you happy now" i said while picking her up and attacking her with hugs and kisses
"Yes mommy I am ! Now put me down I'm missing  my movie " she laughed while crossing her arms over her chest
"Ooookkkayyyy little lady I hear yah " I laughed while placing her back down in her spot she was in. I sat down and watched the movies with my baby , this little girl is my life and I don't know what I would've done if I didn't have her here with me !

Knock knock *****
"Who is "I yelled out.
"It's Kathy sweetheart "
"Oh okay here I come " I said jogging towards the door and unlocking it
"Hey sweetie I got good news for you !! " she shouted while walking in
"Oh ok what is ?"
"Well my nephew has job openings at his hospital for  nurses and he has a couple left and I told him that I knew someone who's perfect for the job , and he told me to bring you up to the hospital to fill out the application and once you get all your information and the system and get past your interview the job is yours " she said with much excitement.
"Omg , are you serious" I said jumping up and down
"Yes ma'am I am"
"When can I go up their I questioned?"
"He said whenever he'll be their this whole week then he has vacation for  the next 2 weeks " she said "oh here's his number and address to the hospital "
"Ok I'm calling today once I get baby girl ready for school which is in about a hour lol "
"Oh okay you need me to take her so you can gone and go up there?" She questioned
"Um yeah if it's not a problem ?"
"Sweetheart your never a problem, I got her just send her over once she's dressed and I'll take her !" She said embracing me in a hug .
"What would I do with out you" I said as tears fell down my face . I was so thankful for her being in my life and helping me out ...she was a miracle that was well needed and I thank god for her !
"Thanks again " i said while pulling away from her embrace
"No problem ,  take care baby !" She said while leaving out the door . I closed it behind her and locked up and made my way back in the room to get my daughter ready for school .
"Avery baby girl you brushed your teeth ? " I questioned her as I walked into her room
"Yes mommy I did  "she said while putting on her shoes. I picked her up and sat her down so that I could do her hair. I put her long curly hair in four ponytails and left it stay in the curly state it was in.
"All done " I said once I was finished
"Bout time my head was on fire " Avery said while rubbing her littler hands through her hair
"Your hilarious little girl ! You know I love you right ?" I questioned
"Of course mommy you tell me everyday " she giggled
"How much do mommy love you ?" I questioned while picking her up and spinning her around and showering her in kisses
"To the moon and back and then back and the back again" she said with her laughs filling the room
" mommy I have to go now imma be late for school" she said as I put her down
"Ok baby i guess I'll let you go" I said "Mrs. Kathy is taking you to school today so come on so I can walk you over to her" i said while grabbing her hand along with her backpack . I walked her over to Mrs. Kathy's place and I said my goodbyes .

"Hello my I talk to um- Mr. I looked on the card to get his mane um- Mr. Robinson" I said finally getting his name
"Ok ma'am , one sec please ." The lady said from the other end .

"Hello mr. Robison speaking " 
"Hi my name is Alina and your aunt Kathy told me out your job openings and she told me to give you a call ."
"Oh your Ms. Alina " he questioned
"Yes I am " I said in rely
"Well I have your application already for you , so you can come today or sometime this week and get it all filled out ..once it's finished your in I'll just bypass your interview since Mrs. Kathy requested highly of you and I trust my aunt ."
"Oh ok wow well I will be In toady around 11:50 " I replied with much excitement . I was definitely in need of this job.. money was getting tight and I couldn't keep taking money from Mrs. Kathy .
I got in the shower and did my hygiene . I walked to my closet and pulled out my work attire." What should I wear" I said mentally to myself , after mins of searching I found the perfect attire. I decided on a pencil skirt and a white button down to match with my red pumps. After getting dressed I did my makeup and left out the house and made my way to the hospital.
Once I approached the hospital I went straight in. I went up to the front desk and asked for Mr. Robinson
"One min ma'am he'll be right with you , if you want you can have a seat in his office ." She suggested
"Um yeah that's fine " I replied
She guided me to his office and I went in and took a seat close to the door. After mins of waiting I unlocked my phone and went to Instagram. "I haven't been on here for years "I said to myself

Mins soon turned into hours and after waiting for so long he came in .
" hey ms. Alina " he said greeting me with a handshake "nice meeting you "
"Nice meeting you too " I said while shaking his hand.?
"So how are you today ? " he asked while handing me the application
"I'm good what about yourself ?" I questioned back
"Im doing good " he answered as he sat down at his desk. I pulled out my pen and went to work on the application, once I fished I got up and walked over to his desk ."I'm all done "
"Ok well I'll take that " he said while taking the paper from my hands
"Ok is that all or ?" I said confused on what comes next
"Well it actually is , you will start Tuesday well tomorrow you will be working 9-5 , welcome aboard " he said looking up from my paper
"Omg are you serious !" I said with excitement
"Yes you qualify ,look forward to seeing " he said while walking towards the door and facing me
"Ok , see you soon I said while grabbing my things and leaving out !" Today was going great I finally have a job and will be able to provide for my baby girl.
Once I left out the building and to my car i checked the time to see how long I have before it was time to pick up babygirl ...and it looked as if I only had a hour 1/2 ....."damn " I said to myself I been up there the whole day . So I decided to get change and waist a little time ... After a couple mins passed I got up and left out the apartment and went to north hill elementary to pick up Avery .
I got in the line for pickup and as I moved I scanned outside to find my babygirl and she was nowhere to be found, and this scared me a little because she's always the first to be outside and up front waiting . I got out my car and walked up to the set of teachers.
"Hi ma'am , can we help you ?" One teacher asked as I approached them
"Um yeah , have you guys seen my daughter Avery Washington ?" I asked still scanning the area
"Um no ma'am she should be out here go look on the Corners by the sidewalks sometimes the kids roam off ." She said with no concern. "Alina don't go off its not worth don't hurt this lady in here !!" I said mentally
"Oh wow that was so much help ! " I said while turning on my heels and storming off
"Avery ! , Avery sweetie where are you" I yelled out while scanning around ! I swear nothing goes right for me , "lord please let my baby come up " I said to myself . As I continued to walk I saw some one familiar get in a car . "Man his face looks so familiar " I walked closer and their Avery was standing their with her things looking around. "Avery!" "Baby!" "Come here I was looking for you baby " I said while running towards her And wrapping my hands around her and holding her tightly .
"I'm sorry mommy , I was waiting on you ,but then this man came up and he told me you said that he was pose to wait with me for you . And then he took me here and said that this were you were suppose to meet us at but then all of a sudden he got a phone call and he left ." Avery said letting tears escape "I'm sorry mommy I should've known not to go with him ?"
"Did he hurt you Baby, did he touch" I asked while examining her body and face
"No mommy he just was asking me questions but I didn't Anwser anything , I remember what you told me never tell strangers your business " she wiped her face and we made our  way back to my car. I put her in the car and settled her in and then I got in and took off and headed home.

Derricks pov

"Ok babygirl I'll be back your mom should be here any min ." I said to Alina's little girl , today I was at her school for the schools basketball team and I ran into this little girl that looked just like Alina , so I decided to get her name and by hearing her last name I knew this was Alina's kid I knew it..and I needed information about Alina due to the fact that I regretted everything I said and I needed her back in my life now ! So I followed her little one outside for dismissal and took her to my car ...
Ringgggg****** my phone went off AGIAN knocking me out my thoughts ..I decided to Anwser .
"What up "
"Hello Derrick "
"Yes Annie what is "
"I uh- have the results " she said lowering her voice
"And what did it say ?" I asked getting pissed by the sec I know it's not going to be what I wanted to hear , I could tell by her voice .
"Your not the father , it's Jason Alsina I -I'm sorry Derrick " she said while braking down
"Man fuck you , I should've went with my first mind I knew not to trust your Thot ah , you ain't nun but ah fraud " I yelled
"No no , it's was a accident i- "
"Fuck off my phone " I said while hanging up in her face .
I no longer regret fucking around with Alina and she should've been my wife I should've stuck with her , man I fucked but I can't blame nobody but myself .
I always let Annie fuck up my plans.
Alina's Pov
Tuesday-
"Mommy I'm ready for school" Avery said while walking in the room and pulling me out the bathroom
"Okok baby hold I need to fix my eyeliner " i said while winging my liner
"Ok well I'll be in the living room waiting mom" she said while skipping to the front. Man my baby girl is growing up.
After finishing my liner I got my things and headed to the front .
"Come on baby lets go " I said while grabbing my keys
"Ok mommy let me hole the keysssss pleaseeeee " she begged
"Ok mommies big girl " I handed her the keys and I locked the door from the inside and follow Avery to the car
"Unlock the door babygirl " I said while making my way to her side
"okay mommy " she said while pushing the unlock button. I opened the door and put her in . Once she was settled I got to my side and got in . I pulled out the apartments and made my way to her school. I pulled up to a line and it was so long . So instead of waiting I parked on the side and walked her to he front .
"Come on baby lets go " I said while getting her out the car. She got out and we walked up to the front.
"Bye mommy , and remember I stay back for ballet " she said while pecking my jaw
"Oh yeah , I almost forgot !" I said while watching her walk up to the entrance "have a good day baby girl " I yelled out.
I waited Til she got in and I turned on My heels and walked back to my car, but their was someone standing right by it. as I got closer the face got familiar .
"Alina"
"What the fuck , Derrick what are you doing" I said while walking closer
"I um just wanted to apologizes bout what went down ..I um fucked up " he said while rubbing the back of his head .
"Man you stalking me now !?" I yelled
"Nawl Alina I just .. Um -"
"Nawl nigga Ian trinna hear nun of that ..get away from me now...I'm already running late I don't need you fucking up nun else I got going"
"I'm simply trying to apologize Alina"
"Ok apology accepted , can you please remove yourself from my car!" I semi yelled causing him to move immediately
" thank you " I said while getting inside the car and slamming the door , I was going to be late on my first day !
I pulled off from the school and made my to the hospital.
....
"Hi Ms. Washington we have your schedule and you have walk-ins the entire morning " the receptionist said while handing me files and my schedule
"Ok thanks a lot "
"Oh and your room is the first room to your left" she Implied while point to the direction of my new room"
I walked into my new room and looked over my schedule . "Here's the start of something new " I said mentally with a sigh

Please tell me how y'all feel about the book should I keep going ? Or she should I give up on this one???😭😩
