The Devil's sins

Part 1

Chapter 1

Red hair, purple eyes. No wonder people treat me differently, I thought to myself as I looked in the mirror. Not that I care if I fit in at NHS. Ah NHS, prison for teens,known as highschool. At Narusaki High School, from what I've heard from Kouro (my bestfriend and fellow student of NHS), the people are mean. They either hate you or they like you and if they like you...well...then you did something wrong. The dreaded first day in my new personal hell. Ugh! Trying to find some clothes to wear that looked slightly normal proved more difficult than need be, I settled for jeans and a t-shirt.*Knock knock. "Hurry up, Mika! We're going to be late for school", Ichi said. Ichi is my younger brother. Most people don't realize we're related. We have different last names, we act, and even look completely different. And while he knows his dad, I've never even met mine. That makes him act like a jerk towards me and is always trying to find ways to get me in trouble. "Well, I'm heading to school so if you're late, don't get mad when mom yells at you," Ichi yelled to my door. Like I said he's a jerk. But, on rare occasions he is pretty nice. "Yeah whatever," I finally said. Once I finished getting ready, I went to the kitchen where my mom was packing lunches. Here's the thing about my mom, she's awesome even though she still treats me and my brother like middle schoolers. I grabbed my lunch and back pack and headed for the door. When I got to the door, I yelled bye to my mom. I went to the corner of the street i was on and waited for Kouro to show up. Me and Kouro have been best friends since 5th grade. A 7th grader was threatening me and making fun of the fact that I watch alot of anime when Kouro came along and punched the guy in the stomach. Ever since then we've been best friends. "Hey, What's up," he said as he reached the corner. "Wanna poptart?"

"Yeah! You know I love them," I said. After he gave me one of his poptarts we started walking to school. We started talking about the new anime we've been watching lately. Then we both got an alert on our phones. It said," Serial killer on the loose! If you see this person immediately call 911!" It had a picture underneath of a dude with creepy looking red eyes and blackish-red spiky hair. He looked generally creepy. And underneath that it said" Lucifer Diablo." Kouro said," Man, that dude is creepy. And I heard that he killed 15 people in the last year alone!"

"I would not want to be the one who last saw him."

" No kidding. Wow."

" Am I the only one who just noticed that his last name means devil?"

"Really? That just made him that much creepier!"

It was then when I saw the school. "Holy Crap! How many kids go here," I said. We went into the school and went to homeroom. That and art were the only two classes we had together. " Hi, my name is Mr. Diablo. I'm pretty sure you've already heard about my younger brother, Lucifer, but I assure you I am not like him at all. He lived with our dad and I lived with our mom." At that moment someone asked,"Is your dad the devil? 'Cause you definantly look like one ugly demon." I looked around to see who said that when I noticed a boy in the back of the class smirking. He had blackish-blue hair and green cat-like eyes. "Who's that?" I asked Kouro.

"That is Zamir. He is supposed to be a senior right now but got held back last year for starting a riot during lunch. He has always been bad but I don't think he has many close friends. It's also rumoured that he's a neko."

"But nekos aren't real?!"

"Yeah but someone said that they saw him with ears and a tail."

"Maybe he was just cosplaying or something."

"Yeah, probably"

A few hours later, while at lunch with kouro, an announcement come on over the PA system. It said, " All faculty, staff, and students head to your homerooms now. This is a lockdown. There is an unidentified person by the D wing with a gun. Repeat, this is a lockdown!"

"Is school here always this crazy," I asked kouro.

"No this is a first. Well...um...let's go...I guess?"

"Have you even had a lockdown drill at this school yet?"

"No, not yet"

Chapter 2:

We started heading to our homeroom. That was when I realized something bad.

"Kouro!"

"What?"

"We're in the D wing!!"

"Oh, crap!"

"So, what do we do now?" Right then a person came around the corner. "Ichi?!" I all but screamed.

"Hey, sis. What's up Kouro," Ichi said.

"We have to get out of here, Now!" Then Another person walked out of my homeroom. He had blackish-red hair and red eyes.

"it's Lucifer diablo," ichi frighteningly whispered into my ear. Lucifer looked right at me and said, "Hello, my daughter."

"What!" I screamed.

Then Lucifer pulled out a gun. He pulled the trigger and aimed at me. Right then as he pulled the trigger Ichi ran in front of me and shielded me from the bullet. I caught Ichi as he fell but when i caught him i realized that he had been shot through the head. He was dead. That was when i lost it. I felt some kind of power flow through me. I turned towards Lucifer and charged. I swung with all my might. In the back of my mind i noticed that instead of fists i had claws.Right before i stabbed Lucifer he disappered. Kouro looked terrified. I couldn't tell if he was terrified of me or Lucifer.

"What was that!" Kouro said running towards me. he stopped a foot away. it was then i realized i was covered in blood and a part of my hair that usually covers one of my eyes had blown back.

"Mika?"

"Yeah."

"Your eyes are different?!"

"What! What do you mean my eyes are different?"

"Your right eye is red!"

"Dont worry about my eyes! Go get help!" I screamed.

"Ok im on it."

As he ran of to find help I walked over to ichi's body and crouched down. As I crouched there I whispered," I will kill Lucifer and get payback for what he did to you. I promise." Just then Kouro returned with a teacher and two cops. One of the cops said, "What happened here?".

Kouro responded, "We ran into Lucifer Diablo and as he tried to shoot Mika, Ichi, her little brother, jumped in front of her and protected her. After that... he ran off."

Later that night, after the cops had checked and made sure i wasn't the one who killed Ichi, Me and Kouro were sitting in my room trying to find out what happened to me when i snapped.

"Have you ever have that happen to you before?" Kouro asked.

"No," I said, "This has never happened before."

"Ok. Have you ever gotten that mad before?"

"I dont know. Ive never been that mad or have my eyes change color."

"Ok. Last question based on this website. Do you know why Lucifer called you his daughter or who he is?"

"No! All I know is that he is a serial killer and he shot my brother!"

"Is your eye still red?"

I moved my hair covering my right eye and said," I dont know? Is it?"

"Yeah. That is kind of weird that after you snapped one of your eyes turned red though. Maybe you should ask your mom about it. She might know."

"Maybe."

"I am going to wait until your mom gets home to make sure your safe. Is that ok?"

"Yeah, thats fine. Thanks"

A few hours later at eleven my mom came home. Me and Kouro headed downstairs to tell her the bad news."Mom, there was a shooting at my school today," I said.

"Yes I heard," my mom responded,"Where is Ichi?"

"He was killed while protecting me."

My mom fell to her knees as I said that and started sobbing."Oh my god," she said.
