Chapter 1:A Dream Accident

Aphmau's P.O.V.

Today was my 21st birthday!My mom and all of my friends came to my party...

Mom:Mija!It's been so long!I missed you!*hugs*

Me:I missed you too!

Mom:I got you this....

It was a tiny box with a tiny note written on it...

Dear Aphmau,

I can't believe that you're already 21!You grew up so fast!Open this box..it's just to keep you a memory of me!Love you!

I opened it and I saw a beautiful silver necklace with a heart charm that has my name carved in it...

Me:Mom it's beautiful!

I put it on..it matches my magenta mermaid dress and my silver shoes..

Mom:You look amazing!*hugs* Come on..let's prepare..

She helped me with a few stuff..then people started appearing..

The part slowly started..

We danced,played games,drank,and so much more..

Everyone brought me gifts,I honestly didn't want all of that..but I'm lucky to have friends like mine...

Kate:Aphmau,this was a great party!I'm going to have to leave because my roommate and I have a movie night...

Me:Thanks!And oh that's fine!

Everyone started leaving at around 2:00 a.m.

Mom:*yawns* Sorry mija...I have to leave...I..*yawns* have to go to work in 8 hours...

Me:Aww....well it's been great seeing you mom!I'll miss you!

Mom:Yeah *yawns* me too...

She walks out of the door..leaving me alone..

It was the best night of my life!

I changed into my unicorn pyjamas,I was ready to go to bed,I had a cup of water to finish, until I got a call from the police station..

Cop:Is this Aphmau Irene?

Me:Yeah..

I put my arm around my hip because I was that nervous..

Cop:We are very sorry to announce that your mother,Savannah Irene has passed 20 minutes ago..

I dropped my cup and it shattered into pieces..everything felt like it was going through slow motion...

My mother..died..on..my....my....

Birthday..

Me:*cries* Y-You're n-not serious *nervous laugh and sniff*

Cop:I'm sorry....

Me:There's no way my mom died...s-she never d-drives!*sniff* She t-takes an u-uber..

Cop:That explains why she was in the back seat...hmm...the Uber wasn't there though....Ms. Irene,arrive at the station tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.

Me:O-Okay..

He closed the phone from his line..

I just collapsed on my bed and kept crying..

Next day..

I got ready and drove to the police station...all I cared about is finding my mom's killer..

I found my way to the detective that wanted to talk about the case..

Detective:So you say that your mom got murdered?

Me:Yes,she never drives because she's too scared to,she always calls the same Uber,his name is Kyle Unison.

Detective:Did she have any problems with the guy?

Me:I don't recall..but she used to tell me about how he was a jerk..heh...them we would gossip and...*sniff*

Detective:Listen..I need your help,to find out HOW your mom died..did she act unusual or say anything weird?

Me:Actually..the day before my birthday..she said she kept seeing this..I don't know..this girl that had black hair covering her face..and she was wearing a bloody white dress..she mentioned that she sees her then she disappears through thin air..I thought she was hallucinating or something..

Detective:*mutters* I've got a new spirit to find,great.

Me:Excuse me?

Detective:Nothing...you may leave,thank you for your time.

Out of dream..

Bartender:Ms.?Are you okay?You've been asleep for 15 minutes..

Great...I had a dream about my mom..

AGAIN.

I just ignored what she said and took another shot of whiskey..

Bartender:Look,I know you're going through a hell of a hard phase in your life..we all knew savannah-

Me:Dont.Talk.About.Her.

I kept trying to know what that guy was muttering under his breath...

Bartender:Aphmau,you've been in here for 3 hours drinking whiskey and beers..just go home and eat...you look horrible sweety..

Everyone in town knew each other..Lisa is a nice bartender..I must be treating her like shit..

Me:Thanks..I'm sorry...it's just...

Bartender:I understand..just go eat and get cleaned up..I'll see you later..

I walked out of the bar and checked the time..

It's 11:51 p.m.
