Chapter Three
Rasheed Mike Francisco.
The sun was starting to slope toward the tops of the trees on the other side of the campus, the number of students decreasing as they excitingly make their way to their lovely homes as the warmth of the bright sun were replaced by the LED lights surrounding each corner of the campus. I have been listening to Gigi, Stacey and Cassie as they talk about Rasheed Mike Francisco, the guy earlier. The same guy they were talking about first thing this morning and the same guy me and Howard had encountered earlier in the garden. It has never crossed my mind that the same old arrogant and bossy guy would be our classmate. Turns out he was really a transferee from Woodridge International School, wherein his great grandfather co-founded it which makes me wonder why he'd transferred.
While the three of them can't get over how Howard and I have had a tense encounter earlier with Mr. Francisco, and also how dashing he magically looks with that bad-guy attitude of his which makes him "look hotter" from their point of views, I was overwhelmingly glad to find out that there will be a big event tomorrow to mark the start of another great school year. I really thought it would just end how it started earlier and by the looks of everyone, we really look forward to a great week ahead us.
"Madison Tris Bernal, how come you didn't have a look or even have a single glimpse on his face?" Cassie unbelievingly shook her head.
"Correction, I've looked at how his eyes burned in fierceness and annoyance and to be real honest with you guys, he looked like he was about to attack in a war."
"So, he scared you. A lot." I was taken aback by how Stacey surely stated her opinion.
"What? Of course I wasn't scared. It only made him look like a total fool. He just gets angry a lot with no reason at all." I said as I rolled my eyes.
"But tell us Madison, how does he look like in a meter away? Does he look like a Hollywood star, or the boy next door? Tell us!" Gigi said, almost screaming. Oh how I hate how Gigi talks about a bunch of gorgeous-looking guys losing control of herself, and her wonderful voice too.
"He looks like a monster in a circus, to be exact." I said as I entered our van heading towards home. I rested my head on my favorite furred pillow thinking about nothing as I closed my eyes, escaping this world of reality. Even though we did nothing the whole day, having a boring time at school was sort of tiring too and I would do anything for it not to happen again. After all, boring is boring, right? I was awaken from my deep sleep when I heard a churning sound which exactly sounded like a flat tire.
"Manong Joel, is there anything wrong?"
"Sorry Tris, naflatan tayo ng tires eh tapos hindi ko nalagay sa van yung extra sana. Mahirap ring makahanap ng tulong dito kasi sa shortcut ako dumaan eh para makaiwas sa traffic. Pero may dumadaan din naming taxi dito paminsan-minsan." Manong said while I nodded as I looked outside, finding how dark it already was where the stars shined brightly in their fixed positions while the full moon lighted the whole place, making things look like as if I was in a dream.
