Mariella.
I glanced at Bryson as he ate from across the table, eating my food as well while wondering what was wrong with that chick at the door.
"I can't believe she did that man. Fuck wrong with her?" Bryson seemed to have read my mind as he spoke, shaking his head.
"I can't believe so either. Crazy broad." I shook my head as well and he laughed, making me laugh.
"How long has Brooklyn been friends with her?" I questioned, sipping my drink lightly.
"Hell if I know. Maybe like a year?" He shrugged. I nodded, continuing to eat as silence fell between us.
After we both were finished, I grabbed our dishes and placed them in the sink.
Bryson walked out of the kitchen and I lowkey followed him to the living room, taking a seat on the sofa across from him.
He laid back on the couch, closing his eyes. I took in more details about him, from his little beard of black hairs along his jaw, to his thick eyebrows.
These last few days, I couldn't help but to observe him. He was so perfect in my eyes, its ridiculous.
"Why you all the way over there?" He spoke. My eyes tore from his beard to connect with his.
"Huh?" I said dumbfounded.
"You look a little uncomfortable on that small ass sofa. Come on." He patted the spot next to him.
I hesitated for a second and he sighed. "I don't bite Mar." He laughed.
Seconds later, I finally sighed and got up. "If you say so." I walked to him, sitting besides him but not too close.
"What we 'bout to watch?" He asked, glancing at me.
"Doesn't matter to me." I yawned.
"Poetic Justice it is then." I watched as he went to the movie list, my eyes becoming droopy.
Without thinking, I curled up against Brysons side, resting my head on his shoulder.
He slowly looked down at me, and for a split second I thought he would ask me to move.
But instead, he wrapped his free arm around me without a word, letting me lean more into him.
He put his feet up on the coffee table, getting himself comfortable as well.
He leaned back and I moved more into him, now resting my head on his chest.
My body completely relaxed as inhaled his sweet scent before falling straight to sleep.
----
Bryson.
I stared at Mariella as she slept on me. To say she took me off guard is an understatement.
I wasn't expecting her to cuddle into me, rest her head on me and all, but I couldn't resist her honestly.
Having her on me right now gave me a warmth through my entire body that I damn sure couldn't explain....
...but I like it.
She moved slightly, turning her head on my chest so that now her face was towards mine.
I started at her. Having her this close up was breath taking. She is really the most gorgeous girl I've ever met.
I reached up, moving a small piece of her brown hair away from her eyes.
Slowly, I stroked her soft hair, watching as a small smile form on her pink lips as she slept. I couldn't help but to admire her.
"What's going on with me lately?" I questioned myself lowly.
These last few days I've done nothing but stare at Mariella, taking in every little piece of her.
From her flaws to her corrections, in all honestly everything was...perfect to me.
Though I have yet to know alot about her, I planned on changing that soon.
I heard keys jiggling, making me snap out of my thoughts. The door open and Brooklyn walked in.
"Mare...ly?" She looked at me, then at the sleeping Mariella on my chest, frowning slightly.
"Uhm...okay." She laughed a little.
"Yeah, uh, we were watching a movie and she just fell asleep on me." I wiped a hand down my face. "So I just let her sleep."
"Ah, gotcha." She nodded. I nodded as well, but then suddenly remembering what I had happened a few hours ago.
"Oh, Brook you'll never believe what happened." I shook my head.
"What happened?" She sat on the sofa, removing her shoes and setting her bag on the coffee table.
"Raven came over." I looked at her.
She frowned instantly. "But she knows what hours I'm at work already."
"That's the point. Brook, when I opened the door I told her you weren't here. But then she said something like 'what if I didn't come for Brooklyn'." I said.
"What the hell?" She questioned.
"Man I don't even know. So long story short, she tried to convince me that I wanted her or some shit, and tried to get in the house. Banged at the door for me to let her in for like 10 minutes straight." I shook my head.
"Wow. I wouldn't have even expected her to do anything like that. Trying to get at my little brother? Like really what the fuck." She smacked her lips.
"Same thing I said. But you know, I never really liked that girl anyway." I sighed.
"Good. Because you damn sure won't be seeing her around here anymore. I can promise you that." Brooklyn responded. I looked at her.
"What are you going to do?" I asked.
"Don't worry about all that, I'm not going to do anything too reckless. Just know she won't be coming around anymore." She responded.
I frowned but before I could respond she changed the subject.
"You take your meds today?" She yawned slightly. I sighed, dropping the other subject just as she did.
"Yeah, Mar made sure I took them."
I nodded. She smiled."I'm thinking about asking her to stay here with us. Her roommate at her dorm is a stuck up whore anyway." She laughed.
"Well I wouldn't mind." I shrugged.
"Mhm. I know you wouldn't." She side eyed me. I smacked my lips.
"You know I ain't mean it like that bruh gone." I laughed and she laughed too.
"Well I'll talk to her about it in the morning. Goodnight Bry. I love you." She got up from the sofa, heading down the hall.
"Goodnight. I love you too."
