Chapter Twenty-Eight

Walking slowly into my bedroom, I closed my room door behind myself, and leaned my head up against the wooden surface. The thought of Wolfy...Seth... possibly not coming to see me tonight was eating away at me, and I knew it in that moment that it was going to be one long night.

In all honesty, I knew that he needed time with his best friend, but part of me couldn't help but be selfish and want him to myself.

Taking a deep breath, I pushed myself off of my door and slowly walked towards my window, I knew it was only a bit past sun down, but still when I saw the edge of the trees empty, it only made me want his presence that much more as I bit onto my bottom lip, and sighed softly.

Turning away from the window, I crawled onto my bed and tucked myself under the soft blanket. 

 It was as I laid there that my mind was given time to wander. I couldn't help but think about the fact that Seth was a wolf, and how the thing is, if meeting them was reversed and I met Seth first, I wouldn't have believed him. Honestly, I would probably think he was missing a few bolts in the head, but knowing Wolfy first and seeing first hand how knowing he acted about human emotions really made accepting the fact that Wolfy is Seth and Seth is Wolfy that much easier. I can't lie and say I still find it weird that Seth can in fact shift into a Wolf...but knowing that something that was always explained to me as a trait to a mythical creature, while slightly unsettling, made me feel oddly safer in his arms. 

Brushing the hair that had fallen on my face back, I sighed softly as I continued to let my mind wander. It was then that I thought of soul mates.

 Seth only told me a few things about them, and how his family believed in them, but he never really got in to depth about them before I freaked out on him and ended up discovering his "second life" as Wolfy.
