❄Electric Blue❄

All that could be heard in Arendelle were soft drops of rain against windows and sidewalks. Every towns person worried for their Queen, who was locked away in her room. All knew of the heartbreaking love tale between Queen Elsa and Jack Frost, and all knew that this very day was the most grieving. Today was the anniversary of Jack Frost's death, but only did Elsa feel the most pain, for she had what Jack didn't give to just anyone, his love. It had now became a full year without the presents of Mr. Frost.
The Queen's memories were still fresh with images of him. His smile. His laugh. His electric blue eyes. Those electric blue eyes. It was a feature that Elsa used to be was very fond of, for she easily could swim in them, like an ocean. Cold tears left Elsa's crystal eyes. She couldn't let go of what took place last year, she couldn't let go of him. After all, who would be able to? To just forget everything that happened would be a crazy move. No. It would be a impossible move. Jack was so much more to her than just a memory.
I love you more. The four worded sentence was like a broken record player in Elsa's head. The last thing that Jack said to her, before sleeping in ice cold water. It was never supposed to happen, if Elsa wasn't standing in that spot of ice...... Bam. Another punch of hurt through Elsa's fragile heart. It seemed to never end for her, the sadness. And when she even dared to feel the slightest bit of happiness, it was quickly washed away with guilt. The young Queen still wasn't used to being without him.
Jack was five whole years of Elsa's life. Two years crushing, another two being a couple, and a year grieving. Still, five years felt so little to Elsa, how she wished Jack could have been with her longer. But the Queen treasured those memories, and past years. Which only made it harder on her, expecting so much more out of so little. She couldn't control it either, she couldn't control how much she hurt, how much she grieved, and how much she missed him.

"My Queen, you have a visitor. Miss Emma would like to see you, do you accept the request?", asked one of the palace maids.

" Yes, send her in.", Elsa replied, weakly. Her voice sore from crying her heart out.

It didn't take more than five seconds before the door opened, reveling a pained Emma. Elsa turned around, away from her window, to get a look at the state Emma was in. She was thirteen, fourteen in a couple of months. Her hasel brown hair was in a messy bun,her eyes red and puffy from crying. Emma knew Elsa, she also knew how much Elsa ment to Jack. Elsa gulped.

"I know.", Elsa said, spreading her arms open for a hug. Emma ran across the room into Elsa's arms. Slowly, the Queen picked the little girl up in a heavy hearted hug. Emma's sobs could be heard through out the castle, her sobs held pain and confusion. The poor girl couldn't understand why it had to happen to Jack. Why that day? Why Jack? Did I do something wrong? For Emma's sake, Elsa stayed strong, but deep down, all they wanted was a shoulder to cry on. Elsa may be hurting the most, but Emma....Emma was in a big amount of hurt too.
The two stayed in the hug for what seemed like forever. But they both needed it, the hug took off a layer of sadness, but there was still more layers to get through. Emma was the closest to understanding the hurt than anyone else. Elsa didn't cry though, on the outside at least. In the inside, she was screaming, screaming Jack's name. Both were silent after the hug was over. Emma was now sitting on Elsa's bed, head hanging low. And Elsa was sitting on a seat, looking out the window.

"He really, really loved you.", Emma stated, breaking the air.

"I really, really loved him too....I still do, and a part of me thinks he still does.", Elsa said, looking at her cold hands.

"He planned the day for weeks, saying he hoped it would to go perfectly, saying...", Emma stopped her sentence.

"Saying what Emma?", Elsa asked, now looking at Emma.

"Saying he would ask you to marry him.", Emma whispered.

No. No, no no no. Elsa couldn't hold in the pain anymore. The Queen let a sea of tears free. She didn't care anymore, she didn't care about being the strong one. If she was the strong one for Emma, who was going to be the strong one for her? Suddenly, a small black box was placed in Elsa's lap. She looked up to see Emma leaving the room. The Queen opened the box, to see a breathtaking ring. Sliver dimands were placed in a pattern of a snowflake. Of course. She laughed to herself at how ironic the whole situation was, she laughed at the thought of Jack worrying about nothing.
Slowly, Elsa slid the ring on her finger, perfect fit. Right when the ring was placed on her finger, Elsa felt different. She believed in the world's choice, she believed in her and Jack's love, she believed in winter.
    "I love you more."
Elsa gasped. Nobody else was in the room, but her. Who could have said that? A small tap from the window turned Elsa's attention outside. Walking over to the window, she opened it, not knowing what to expect. At first, there was nothing, but the town she knew so well in sight. Electric blue. Electric blue eyes replaced the town.
The Queen was dumbfounded. She backed up, getting a full image of the one and only, Jack Frost. Tears rang at the corners of her eyes. Jack was alive? But she saw him die. Was she dreaming? Jack was in a dark blue sweater, brown pants, and no shoes. Jack leaned on a brown staff as he stared at Elsa.

"I thought you would be happier to see me.", He said, waking Elsa up from her daze.
"Jack, I....", Elsa stopped. Yes, she had questions, but Jack was here, and that's all the mattered to her in that moment. Hesitantly, Elsa walked over to Jack, pulling him into a warm hug. He returned the hug, also grateful to be back with Elsa. Jack loved Elsa, and missed her with all of his heart. The ring was finally given to her, allowing the belief to be returned to Elsa's heart.
No questions were asked that night, Elsa knew she had all the time in the world to ask those questions. Jack was more than happy to see Elsa with a such calming tone. All he wanted to do was kiss her one hundred times, to hug her one hundred times, and tell her 'I love you' one thousand times. But Jack didn't. Not yet at least. Instead, he asked a question that he wanted to ask Elsa for years.

"Will you marry me?", Jack said, still locked in a hug.

"Yes.", Elsa answered, looking up at Jack's face. Those electric blue eyes.
