Becca's Story II: The Spilt

Chapter Thirteen: The Real New Beginning

We left Alexandria and I sat in the back with Maggie and I held her hand, "Becca why did you come?" Carl asked coming into the back, "I had to, this is my sister, my brother isn't here for her so I have to be," I said, "Becca, you can barley even walk, yet you want to go to Hill Top for Maggie," Carl said, "because one, she's my sister, two, we're not walking we're driving, three, I need to get my stiches checked by a doctor because guess what Carl, Denise is gone and she can't, my legs could have an infection and I wouldn't know," I said, "Becca I just wish you didn't come, you keep putting yourself in danger," Carl said, "we're just going to Hill Top, and plus, no matter what we do, I'm in danger," I said. I was about five minutes later Carl was sitting in the back with Maggie and I when Abraham stopped the R.V. Carl and I looked up there and we saw people stopped a head, we walked up there and everyone started getting off the R.V. telling me to stay. I stayed on the R.V. and starred out the window and saw people in Negan's group, I stood there afraid about what will happen because of how unpredictable Negan and his group can be. I continued to stare out the window and saw him point towards me and then I moved to the back of the R.V. with Maggie. "What's wrong?" Maggie asked, "people in Negan's group passed the road to keep us from continuing to go, so we're probably gonna end up taking another road, but knowing him he is gonna block all the roads when we make another plan with the R.V. as a trick," I said. Everyone got back onto the R.V. while Sasha and Eugene looked over a map to fine another road to find a way to get Maggie to Hill Top. Rick came in the back with Maggie, Carl, and I, he told Maggie we were going to do what ever we could to get to Hill Top and know that the baby was going to be fine. Rick went back to the front when Abraham started driving to the other route. We started driving for about fifteen minutes when we got stopped again but another blockade of Negan's group. They stopped again, Abraham immediately backed up the R.V. and tuned around and started taking another route. "What happened?" Maggie asked, "we have to find another route again, Negan's group was blocking it," I said looking towards the front, "we're going to find another way, I promise," I said smiling at her, "I was thinking as we were started driving, what if I'm having a miscarriage," Maggie said. I looked at her in fear, I grabbed her hand as my eyes started to slightly water, "don't say that, the baby is gonna be fine, it's going to make it, it's gonna make it to see the world, and I think no matter how shitty this new world is, the baby is gonna love the world because it's going to have an amazing mom, an amazing dad," I said smiling, "and an amazing aunt, and future uncle," Maggie said, "uncle? It would only be able to have an uncle if I was to marry someone," I said confused looking at Maggie, "me and Glenn were talking, he said you're allowed to date, he was scared of letting go, that's he said no, but he said, if you really want to be with someone and you truly love them, you make be with them," Maggie said smiling. I smiled back with a small laugh when Carl grabbed my hand, I looked back up at him and smiled, "I also talked to Carl and Rick at one point, and so I think he has something to say to you," Maggie said. I looked at Carl confused again, "Becca, will you be my girlfriend?" Carl asked smiling kneeling next to me looking at me with a smile, I starred at him smiling and unable to be able to speak I was so shocked and happy, "yes I'll be your girlfriend," I said smiling and nodding. Carl and I then hugged, I looked towards the front and Rick looked back at us and I smiled, he smiled back and I felt how tight Carl was hugging me and for the first time in a long while, for some reason I just felt safe. I know I've been safe for a long time, but for some reason after just a minute ago, I actually felt safe. Carl and I stopped hugging and Maggie and I were talking, when we felt the R.V. stop again, "we'll be back," I said looking at Maggie as Carl and I went back to the front of the R.V. and saw another group blocking the way, I looked at them when again Abraham backed up and turned around going another way. I went to the back again and Rick was already back there with Maggie when I went back there too with Carl, I stood behind Rick and Carl stood right next to me. Rick again was telling Maggie that we were gonna get her to Hill Top and that her and the baby would be fine. Rick went back to the front and I sat down with Maggie again, "same thing?" Maggie asked, "yeah, just of his people," I said, "shit!" Abraham yelled in the front of the R.V. Carl and I looked up, I got up and looked and I saw a row of walkers, I looked at all of them but there was one that caught my eye. "Lucy," I said under my breath, "what?" Carl said grabbing my arm a little. I ran out of the R.V. as Carl and Rick tried stopping me, I had gotten to the walker I looked at her closely and under my breath I said her name again, but then I realized it wasn't her, when I realized it, the walker had grabbed my arm as all the other walkers were trying to get me. Rick, Carl, Abraham, and Sasha then started killing all of the walkers when gun shots were coming from the woods. They looked at me and Sasha went to kill the walker on my when I yelled at her to stop, I pulled out my knife and stabbed it in the head. They had gotten out of sight so they wouldn't get shot at, they had stopped shooting while it was just me there, I had gotten up and I went into the R.V. "Are you crazy!?" Carl said looking at me, "I thought that was my sister!" I said back at him, "well who ever that USED to be, it was a walker, you don't go out there like that, it could've killed you!" Carl said, "well it didn't! And you would do the same thing if it was me! Rick! Any one!" I said, "but I wouldn't have gotten that close to it!" Cark said, "you would if you were scared," I said looking at Carl. After I said that, Carl looked at me I looked back at him and I walked passed him and sat down in the back of the R.V. with Maggie. "What happened between the two of you?" Maggie asked, "Carl's mad at me because they tried tricking us by making walkers look like Glenn, and Michonne, and Daryl, and Lucy," I said, "that means they have them!" Maggie said. I called Rick over and Maggie told then he started having them be ready for what might happen. We then drove under a bridge that was up ahead and everyone but Maggie and I got out of the R.V. as they walked up to a blockade made out of wood I looked closely at the front of the R.V. and I also listened because I heard people yelling at them. I heard them say something about me which was when I listened more, "Negan ain't gonna be very happy when he finds out you took his little girl from him, but ya'll better get going, the fire is only gonna get hotter!" A guy said as they started coming back to the R.V. They got back into the R.V. and I went into the back with Maggie and I held her hand and I started getting scared thinking that Negan was going to eventually do something, "Becca I'm sorry," Carl said coming into the back, "me too, I know I shouldn't have went up to the walker but I was scared that, that the walker was really her," I said, "I know, I just thought that the walker was gonna hurt you, I know you can take care of yourself but I want you to be safe," Carl said, "I know," I said with a smile. Carl kissed my head and I smiled as he hugged me as we eventually pulled over and started planning. It was later that day and the sun had gone down and it was the night. Everyone hated how I was taking part, Rick, Abraham, Carl, Aaron, and Sasha all carried Maggie to Hill Top, while Eugene and I drove the R.V. to trick the survivors. Carl was bad because I wanted to do this and he was saying that I could end up getting killed, but I just told him that it's Negan's group, and that I'll be fine. Eugene was driving the R.V. when once again there was another blockade, as Eugene stopped the R.V. I didn't fell right, I quickly went to go lock the R.V. door when a guy with blond hair and half his face burnt opened the door opened it pointing the gun at me, "shit girl, I thought you'd be smarter, Negan said such great things about you, yet here you are," he said, "just so you know, my name's Dwight." He had me put my hands in the air and the same with Eugene pulling him away from the wheel, "Dwight, Negan was Becca and wants to be in the R.V. so this guy must go into a car and be tied up," a guy said coming into the R.V. before driving off, "fine, take the dude and have Negan come in so we can get going," Dwight said. They had me sit down while taking out Eugene, about two minutes later Negan came into the R.V., "wow Becca, I'm very surprised about you, how could you go against me like that, we had a deal, this breaks my heart, but, I'll forgive you if you don't do it again and go back to Hill Top, but I want you to know, those people wont all be happy," he said, "I didn't kill any of your people, and I would go back to Hill Top, but I can't," I said, "why can't you?" He asked, "because, they're my family," I said, "you found them! Wow I'm so happy for you hun, but, I'm sorry to tell you, but tonight you have to say good bye to them," he said, "but, you promised you wouldn't kill anyone in my family, you said if I was to find them you'd leave them alone," I said, "I know Bec, but I got to do it, they killed my people, I need to kill one of them to get back, I'll take suggestions on who not to kill though," he said, "I can't pick some of them on who not to kill," I said, "they're all my family, and I love all of them, they've all done something for my in a way and I love them all in some way," I said with tears coming to my eyes, "tell me some stuff about them then, so I can take consideration in a way," Negan said, "Bec, you know I want to try to be nice to these people, but, I do what I need to do, so tell me stuff about them so I can show some respect," he said again. "The girl with short hair is pregnant, and she's my sister-in-law, the Asian is my brother, because I know you have him, the kid with the hat and only one eye is my boyfriend and my best friend, the guy with the beard is his father, the black girl with dread locks is my boyfriend's father's girlfriend, the guy with the winged vest is his dad's best friend, and that's all I really remember on who's there," I said, "those are the people I'll think about not killing, but I'll keep three of those people in thought for you, and wow, Becca, I never thought you would have a boyfriend, I thought you'd be with that Mark guy from Hill Top," he said, "no, he's an ass, I knew him since before all of this happened," I said, "that's cute, how you the two of you are surviving for one another," he said. "We're here," Dwight said, "alright, well Becca you're gonna go out there before I do, but I can't promise that they're all in perfect condition," he said. I was listening to what they were saying to my family, "can you please not do this to them Negan, please?" I said begging him, "I have to hun you know I hate it, but I do what I need to do," Negan said. I continued to listen when I heard someone coming towards the door, "there's someone coming," I said, "well it looks like it's time for you to go, Becca, they know if they hurt you, they wont be in a good position," he said looking at me, "you should have said that to Paula, she shot me twice in both me legs, but then she was killed," I said, "well I'll let your people get away with that, but not the others," Negan said with a chuckle, "not remember, I'll keep those people you told me in mind, but the rest, I'm not giving a second thought for if I want to kill them," he said as the guy opened the door. Before getting out of the R.V., I looked at Negan, he smiled, "go, before I have a second thought about those three people," Negan said. I got our of the R.V. and I looked at everyone, "Becca?" Glenn said looking at me. I saw how shocked he was seeing me to come out of the R.V. unharmed compared the Eugene who had came out injured along. I looked at Carl, we both saw the fear on one another's face, I tried smiling to Carl, but I couldn't, I try to smile when I want to show that it's going to be ok, but I know it isn't, I always try to see the good in everything. Negan's men then walked me to the side of the R.V. and they had me stand there, "wait, why am I not being put over there?" I said looking at Dwight, "because, you're Negan's kid, his kid doesn't get hurt, he told you want happens to one of us if you get hurt, same thing that's about to happen to one of your people, get to meet with Lucille," Dwight said. I looked at Dwight, and I was more afraid now then I was at the prison when Hershel was killed, I never thought I'd be more afraid then that day, but I am. A couple of moments later, that was when they brought out Negan, he had introduced himself, "one thing I want you people to know, Becca, she's my kid, I met her before winter started, I understand she's your sister," he said pointing at Glenn with the bat, "your, best friend and girlfriend, but she's my kid, I didn't think that any of the person of who I was would come back before I met her, but some of it did, but not enough that is gonna give me pity if I kill one of you. Becca, she gave me six people, on who she loved, who she'd hate to see die and meet the fate of my best friend here, but I'm for sure narrowing it down to three, three people who she cares about the most. Want to know who the six people were, it was her big brother, his pregnant wife, her boyfriend, his father, his father's girlfriend, and his father's best friend, the dude who had the vest but lost it." Negan said. I looked at them and I looked at Sasha, Abraham, Rosita, Aaron, and Eugene and mouthed to them that I was sorry. "But, being who I am, I narrowed it down to, her brother, his wife, and her boyfriend, I'll feel bad if a woman who's pregnant dies with a baby being cooked, but I don't know if it's fear, or something else, but I saw you were like this before I came out and that you had to be laying on a bed in stead of walking yourself, I would guess mommy is having a miscarriage," Negan said in front of her, "I feel pity, but not enough," he finished. I saw Glenn looked at Maggie and then I looked back at Negan walking around, "are you afraid kid? That I might kill your girlfriend, I mean I could kill her, but she's a good friend, so I'm not gonna, if I wanted to, I could kill everyone here, but, I just was to get back at you but, I'm just gonna kill one person in stead, and I'll make sure it's someone you all care about," he said, "oh I forgot, this is Lucille, and, she, is, awesome! And this is what I'm going to use to kill one of you," he said, "Negan, I really wish you wouldn't!" I said with eyes filled with tears, "Becca I know," he said turning around facing to me, "but you also know that I have to, to get revenge on all the innocent lives that these people killed," he said, "I know but Negan, we can just make a deal in stead killing someone is just gonna make things worse you know," I said, "I know Bec, but, I'm not gonna let them kill my people and get away with it," Negan said, "now please, stop talking before I change my mind about the three people, or before I do kill you," he said. I was scared when he said change his mind about Glenn, Maggie, and Carl, but not as scared when he said me, I don't know what it's been, but the thought of me dying, it doesn't bother me like it used to, before Nina died and everything really went down, "Negan, at least tell me this, so I know, is Lucy alive?" I asked, "didn't I promise you?" He said, "yes, but, just in case, I want to know," I said, "yes, she's fine, she's safe with my daughter," he said. I was happy he said she was ok, but when he said his daughter, I as surprised, I didn't know Negan had a daughter out of all the time I knew him, I didn't know that. It was a couple of minutes later when he started talking about who he was gonna kill, "you all look a mess, but I am only gonna kill one of you, but I want to know, who's death would affect you guys more," he said looking around everyone, "I know, I have an idea, now, someone try to remind m not to count those three. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch... a tiger... by... his toe... If he hollers... let him go. My mother... told me... to pick... the very best one... and you... are... it," Negan said pointing at someone, "you can breathe, you can blink, you can cry... hell, you're all gonna be doing that," Negan said as he swung his bat into the person's head. Everyone screamed in fear I looked at Negan and cried as I fell to the ground, I layed there starring at what Negan was doing. I was afraid, more afraid then ever, I thought there was the end, but then I realized, this, this is really, only a new beginning.
