Chapter 20: Finding Robin
"By the way, I love your outfit!" exclaimed Harper.
Huh. Girls must like the "gay look".
"Thanks," I said shyly. "Anyway, Harper, this was fun, but I really have to go now."
"Fine... See ya later, alligator!" she beamed before skipping back in.
I went back in too, hoping to find Robin.
"Boo!"
"Ahhhh!" I yelled.
"I scared you again, didn't I?" laughed Robin.
"I wasn't... I was just... Shut up!" I denied.
She laughed harder. "So," she began. "Where did you run off to?"
"Oh, I was with a friend."
She clutched her heart. "I have to say, Jar Head, I am honestly hurt," she acted with a wink. "You have other friends besides me?"
I laughed. "Yeah, of course," I joked, shoving her playfully.
I swung my arm around her. "So, what did you get me?" I teased, wiggling my eyebrows.
"How are you so sure I got you something?" mused Robin, nudging me.
"Because best friends get each other gifts on their birthdays," I stated proudly.
She laughed. "Geez, who died and made you the king of best friends?"
"I... Shut up!"
She giggled, "Of course I got you something, Jar."
I placed my hands on her shoulders and whispered into her ear, "What is it, Robs?"
"It's a..." she whispered.
...
...
...
"Secret!" she yelled. Directly in my ear, I may add.
"Ahhhh!" I yelled again.
"You'll find out soon enough," she chuckled, stroking my chest.
"What'd you me-"
Before I could finish what I was saying, she ran off.
