CHAPTER 3
I was awoken by the ringtone of my phone. Really? In the early morning? It was not even six yet. I groan as I picked up the phone.
"hello..?"
"Good morning babe"
Who the.. Wait.. I knew that voice.
"what do you want Eric?"
"I'm waking you up so we won't get late for school later"
"its not even six yet" I groan
"I know. I'm just excited"
"Excited for what?"
"well.. This is my first day of work. I'm driving you to school later." At this point, I think my heart pounded faster by hearing him saying that. Was he nervous?
"oh okay.."
"I'll pick you up at seven, sharp"
"okay mom okay. Why are you so noisy" I heard him chuckled behind the phone.
"okay see you babe." And he closed the call. I swore I can felt him smirking there.
He should stop calling me that.

I scooped in a spoon of cereal to my mouth as I heard a knock on the front door.
"Jane, Eric is here" mom shouted my name as I heard soft chatting of mom.
I scooped another spoon into my mouth as I rushed myself taking my bag and walked towards the living room. Eric caught my eyes and smirked at me as soon as I found my mother warning him to drive safely and watch the road.
Eric excused ourself at my mom and he lead me to his car. I was still wondering, he worked as a driver but he had this black shiny angel. He opened the passenger car door for me to get in but I stood still instead. He nudged his head a bit to the side. He stared at me with those blue eyes.. okay stop.
"well arent you going in? We dont have forever"
"I will but since when you are such a gentlemen? It doesnt fit you"
"Im your driver, remember" he said as he rolled his eyes.
"yeah right"
after he sat and started the car, he drove us to the school with a speed that made me almost had an heart attack. Clenching my fists praying that we survived or at least myself.
"oh my god. can you slow down?"
"awh dont be a chicken" he replied.
"excuse me mister but we almost hit that car! are you crazy?"
"relax babe. nothing's gonna be happen" he chuckled
"definitely crazy.." I murmured.
***
We soon arrived at the school without any scratch on his car or on us. He chuckled as he saw me clenching the safety belt like my life depends on it even we were already on the parking lot.
"aren't you going to go out?"
I didnt even saw him walked to my door and already opened it. Instantly, I unbuckled the safety belt with a poker face, pretending that I was not scared earlier. I hopped out from his car as he closed the door and locked it. He shook his head with a half smile on his face. as soon as we entered the school hallway, he wrapped his arm on my waist.
"what the hell are you trying to do?" I said as I tried to unwrapped his arm but failed because it was hard as steel. Eventually, I gave up knowing that he wont budge. Students on the hallway were snickering and whispering as they saw me and Eric walking passed them.
