"I've got private clients to meet. But I'll see you, I promise."
"When? How many more hours?"
"I'm sorry, babe. I've been really busy lately. I hope I could get to you. Our schedules are both jammed."
"Yeah, sure. I totally understand. I hope to at least bump into you in the hospital during my rounds."
"Sure. Just text me when you get to your destination. Drive safely, my love."
There was a moment of silence.
"Ly, help me."
"What? Why?"
"Ly, someone's here. Help me, please. Noooo!"
"Baby, where exactly are you?"
"He's here, someone's here. Please no. Rescue me, Alyssa!"
"I'm coming. Where the hell are you? Who's with you?"
There was no response from the other line.
"I'm coming, Dennise. Wherever you are, I'm coming."
"Alyssa", she shook the girl.
"Hmm?"
"You're thinking too much again. You sure you're alright", Ella asked, eyes full of concern.
She nodded with a smile, "Not really but I know I will be. Just a bit upset of the recent events."
"Get at least a week off from the clinic, Ly. I think you really need that."
"I know it's my fault. Everything that has happened-why she's lost."
Ella patted her back, trying to comfort her. "Why she's lost? Nothing's your fault, Ly."
