PROLOGUE: 5 months later...
Whitney stood at the door of her new office. She was now head journalist; something she always wanted. Her office was what she always pictured it would look like: floor-length windows all around the office and overlooking the massive expanse of New York City, a large desk neatly catty cornered on the right side of the office, large enough that it was open and it showed she was clearly in-charge but not so much it was uninviting, a nice couch and arm chair decorated the room nicely, and to top it off there was a beautiful flower, she had no clue what kind, on the edge of her desk brightening the whole room.
This is what she always wanted. She should feel elated and she should be wearing a smile that nobody could strip off of her no matter how hard they tried. But she wasn't. If this is what she wanted, then why did she feel like utter shit? Also, why was it that every time she thought of him, she refused to think his name, she wanted to curl up into a ball and cry? It didn't make sense to her, she had everything figured out. She knew what kind of game he played and that is the exact reason she chose to use him. She thought that she had men figured out, she thought she had life figured out, and most importantly; she thought she had love figured out...

Super short but its just a taste of what is to come... its going to be fantastic; I can taste the suspense already!

Its late right now so I will try to finish the first chapter tomorrow and have it posted but I cant make any promises. imma try to make the chapters long, like 4-5 pages, srry but thats the best i can do :)
