Jade's POV
----------The place was beautiful I have to give it to them credit for that. The pack house was a huge stone building at least triple the size of our old packs. As we entered the giant stone building, i practically moaned out at how crisp and cool it was inside, a perfect counter for the hot muggy air I had been suffering through in the car for hours on end. I set my bags on the floor next to the couch and flop into it, groaning as my muscles relax and sweat stops rolling down my face.
Charlotte joins me sighing, as she kicks up her feet and snuggles into the couch's pillows. "Maybe we should just live on this couch?" she suggests, tucking a strand of her dark brown hair out of the way of her face and crinkling her rich brown eyes as she snorts at my satisfied nod.
"Girls, c'mon we've got the keys, let's pop up to the fourth floor!" my sister says, dangling keys between the finger pf one hand and holding, Jax's with the other
Dang, Goals
I slide of the couch, and reach over to grab one of the pillows and shove it in Charlotte's face, smirking as she bolts to her feet "I'm going jeez"
sorry, not sorry
Jasmine thrusts our keys to us and face palms as we clamber up the stairs with the worker that's leading us to our rooms.
"The Alpha is sorry he couldn't be here for the arrival of the newbies, and sends his regards and wishes that you enjoy your new life here." the young girl says, smiling curtly.
I snort, and roll my eyes. Sure, the biggest baddest meanie Mr. Alpha wants to wish us well.
"Don't be so passive Jade" My wolf, Jemma groans.
"I-is there a problem?" the girl squeaks, blushing slightly.
"You see Jade here doesn't like Mr. Big bad scary Alpha Man do you?" Charlotte coo's, smirking as I sink back into my blonde locks, my cheeks on fire.
"I-I uhh," I utter, feeling my cheeks darken about two shades more as I stumble for a response.
"Well it's no big deal, I'm his precious angel little sister and I happen to know he has a soft side.. Sometimes," she says, "oh the names Carter by the way, then she turns and continues trotting up the stairs. She glances back every once in a while to make sure we're keeping up with her. "Here we are!" She pants pointing at four rooms lined up next to each other.
"Thanks a lot Carter," I say smiling and unlocking the door to my room.
"Will we be seeing more of you around?" C questions, as she fumbles with the lock on her door.
"Oh defiantly! Maybe we could be friends I haven't had many of those!" She answers, waving before slipping away and humming a tune to herself.
Finally Charlotte manages to unlock her door, after a lot of cussing and kicking it.
"I ALMOST FORGOT!" Carter blurts, rushing back into the room and putting her hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath. "T-there's a- party t-tonight, attendance is highly r-requested... It's to greet the big bad alpha and beta back from their business in South Dakota," she pants, scowling as the words South Dakota leave her mouth.
This is great just who I wanted to see... The alpha.
I flop down onto the bed and groan dramatically.
maybe I should just stay here forever.
After twenty minutes of laying on the bed, i decide to actually do something productive, and I scoot off the bed and grab my suitcase, unpacking the few clothes I brought that aren't on the moving van.
